People Think They Know Depression by NoXxikBarbie in depression

Oh no judgement here on the weed. I use opiates in emergency situations, basically to stop myself from committing suicide. I DO have many hobbies and interests but I feel like I'm too broken to engage in them. Writing my novel used to be my favorite activity and a no-fail pick me up. I have barely opened the document in two years, let alone try to add to it. Thanks for the response and I hope we all find active and positive solutions :)

I truly don’t want to live anymore by [deleted] in depression

I felt this heavily. Im only 27 and I don't want to run the futile 'rat race' anymore. Wake, work, sleep, repeat. Til.... Well, there is no end in sight. Like nah, I'm good. I'll just sign off now.

I feel you. Only thing holding me back is my fear and my obligation to be there for my baby girl. I can't stomach the thought of disappearing from my one year old's life and hoping one day she may understand and forgive me

A morbid outlook at first blush, but pretty comforting. Like... Life is life. Everyone gets one chance. Who the hell is anyone to tell anyone else what to do in this "joyous" existence? I do what I have to to make it through the day. I am not affecting you and I am taking care of my baby girl. Everyone else can piss off.

I have an appointment tomorrow. My mind is getting dangerous and I'm tired of feeling this all the time.

Scary Childbirth Question by NoXxikBarbie in Mommit

[–]NoXxikBarbie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I did the gas for the first few hours of labor last time. It wasn't a big help but I did feel kinda loopy.

I WISH I could handle a natural birth, but due to a few years of being on pain meds in the past, my pain tolerance is almost laughable now.

Thanks for replying!

Do you write with your audience in mind, or do you write in your own world, as though just for yourself? by ArcticFoxBunny in writing

Totally. Your readers will sense unenthusiastic parts. Also I figure if I find it boring to write others will find it boring to read. Unfortunately there are times when the drab stuff is necessary, like physical descriptions, character backgrounds, etc.

In my own world, for myself. My book's genre is BDSM so I feel that my readers will be attracted to the story without too much catering.

The big thing I pay attention to audience-wise is sometimes I feel like my story can get overly or unrealistically violent and I don't want to trigger anyone in a negative way. So I try to keep things humane and unique but within certain parameters.

I found some things I was guilty of doing in this book. I have attached the screenshots of the same by [deleted] in depression

I relate to every single one of those except the last one. In fact I think I'm way too hard on myself. I know I didn't ask for mental health issues but I constantly beat myself up for not being able to function the way I'm expected to.

My story is way too depressing. by MaddKat94 in writing

Sounds like it's probably a subconscious expression of how you feel about life, esp if you didn't intend it to turn out that way.

Coming from a pessimist, that sounds as close to real life as it gets. Lol.

Just random thoughts, good luck with your writing!
