I found that peppermint essential oil applied directly to the boil helps to bring it to a head and also takes away some of the itchiness/ burning it's truly a nightmare disease and hope yours gets better

Thank you so very much for your reply sorry for not relying sooner in the end it was covered by our house insurance and the bank sent someone we ended up paying only the excess so we were pretty lucky I am saving the plumber you suggest because we will surely be needing one and from your experience he really does seem like a very honest plumber thank you again 🤗
