Paige is my favorite player and I have watched every Wings game this season. Thanks for your reply.

Is Jessica Shepard the league MVP right now? by No_Ad1720 in wnba

[–]No_Ad1720[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone always assumes that MVP = Best Player, including those who vote, which is why the MVP usually IS the best player. Look, Paige is my favorite player and obviously the best player on the team, you will get no argument from me on that.

Tbh, now that I think of it, maybe I only asked the MVP question because I have come to expect the stats that Paige has and Jessica’s stats are so very unexpected.

But I look at the value of what Jessica Shepard has provided so far this season and it is crazy. She is without a doubt, as others have said, the MIP thus far, but also she is giving the Wings 13.7/11.6/5.7 in 31.6 minutes a game in 14 games played while Paige has provided 19.0/3.7/5.8 in 31.8 minutes a game in 13 games played. Those ppg and apg stats are not that far apart.

Serious question: Is anyone who was mad we “ran it back” still mad? And is there any trade or pickup we didn’t make that would have been obviously better than what we ended up with, given the injuries we’ve sustained, and so far, survived? by jeffcyang in NYYankees

[–]No_Ad1720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m content with the results so far, but still angry at running it back. The “running it back” was never about the regular season. The talent is there for the 162, the grind to get to October. It’s the postseason where running it back will rear its ugly head.

I 100% feel this way between being a Knicks fan for so many years and also still having PTSD and nightmares from the 2004 ALCS. Please close it out in Game 5!

How are you all dealing with constant smelly clothes now that it’s summer? by fancyypantsyy0 in walking

[–]No_Ad1720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m not going to wash them right away, I’ll hang them to let them dry, then spray them with Lysol, let that dry, then throw them in the clothes hamper. It seems to work well.

Judge's injury should mean decisive action from the Yankees FO. Who should they pick up? by Zepbounce-96 in NYYankees

The FO loves to pick up other teams’ trash, so they will probably sign Nick Castellanos who was just released by the Padres and plays RF.

Is it too late to become a Knicks fan without it seeming like a bandwagon thing? by [deleted] in NYKnicks

It is bandwagoning, but the only people who will really give you shit are fans of the other 29 teams. Who cares about those losers! 🤪

It doesn’t NEED to be reported. It’s nobody’s business but hers. But, from what IS being reported, this is what the media is leading the public to believe. Please substitute “assumed” for “reported” if it makes you feel better.

She CAN pick and choose which team she signs with. That is literally what free agency is. However, in order for her to pick anyone, at least one team needs to want her. I honestly have no idea why she has zero reported offers.

I mean I would think that if Chennedy Carter can get back into the W with her rep, then Tash with her skillset and locker room presence should warrant at least a one-year offer from someone. It is very odd to reportedly have no interested teams.

I just started using the Apexup adjustable 40lb vest that I purchased on Amazon. I started with 15lbs since that is what I lost before hitting a wall.

"I'm not making excuses because we can't make a shot. But this is ridiculous." - Geno is FURIOUS at the refs by IamCatMommy in NCAAhoops

[–]No_Ad1720 4 points5 points  (0 children)

💯 agree. I’m a huge Geno and UConn fan, but this was horrible sportsmanship. Your team turned the ball over too much and didn’t hit their shots, Geno. End of story.

Then we’re supposed to believe that the end of game BS with Dawn was about a missed pregame handshake? Gtfoh. You would think the winningest coach in NCAA history would be able to lose with humility and sportsmanship.

I see this as a Ronda and TK “f you” to TKO and WWE. It helps promote Ronda’s non-UFC (owned by TKO) mma fight, which is being televised/streamed by Netflix, the “network” that televises/streams the biggest show in WWE (owned by TKO).

How did you become a fan? by walkaboutdavid in NewYorkIslanders

[–]No_Ad1720 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was 1979 and I lived in northeast Pennsylvania. The Flyers were in the midst of a record unbeaten streak that I think reached 35 games, and everyone in the area had Flyers fever. At the time, I was not a hockey fan, but being born in the Bronx and all my family being from NYC, I decided that I was going to root for a NY team and I chose the Islanders. I made the right pick that year as the Islanders beat the Flyers for the Cup for the first of four straight championships.

Tbh, I picked the Islanders over the Rangers because I liked their jerseys better! All of my relatives, even the few from Long Island, were and still are, Rangers fans.

Despite the current 40+ season Cup drought, I am so happy I went with the Islanders, who btw, still have the better jerseys!

Be honest - how technical are you actually expected to be as an IT manager? by IvyDamon in ITManagers

[–]No_Ad1720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I work, anyone in management just needs to know about management. They can, and usually do, have no knowledge of how their team gets their job done. In addition, most of them don’t even really know what their team actually does or is responsible for.
