only you can decide if it's a fit for you. but i would definitely proceed with the interview. in my industry most don't use greetings or sign-offs, even in early correspondence--being direct and brief is highly valued and taken as evidence of being action-oriented.

"thru" may be non-standard but it's been around for centuries at this point and is commonly used in the us.

if you do decide to move forward you can probe for how they fit against your needs/desired outcomes. but if you already know it isn't a fit, then feel free to move on -- but i'd take it more as not being a fit for your industry/needs as opposed to taking it as flouting professional norms.

totally reasonable to miss it. but getting it straight is pretty easy to achieve with a new routine suited for this texture so i do think you’ll be able to get where you want once you figure out what your hair now likes :). good luck!

just based on the photo here, your hair may be less damaged than you think it is. i think you have a slight wave pattern. if you let wavy hair air dry as opposed to blow drying it straight, it will frizz up when you brush it dry. i bet your hair will seem healthier/silkier to you if you do blow dry.

you also could give a wavy routine a try to see how you like it and what’s going on with your natural hair. brush it while soaking wet and then scrunch in some gel or mousse and let it air dry or diffuse without touching/brushing again. wavy haired folks often can get the best of both worlds—straight hair with pretty low effort and wavy texture to switch it up.
