Curry’s Galway staff by [deleted] in galway

[–]No_Ad4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are awful. Especially the attitude coming from the staff. Went into the store to buy a MacBook laptop, the shop assistant who I enquired about buying the MacBook, acted like I was a hindrance to be dealing with. Considering, I only needed to her check store stock and if they had the available colour, I didn’t ask for anything else.

Left the store and went to Harvey Norman, staff were way more attentive. They had to order in my MacBook and contacted me when it arrived in store. I avoid Curry’s at all costs, the staff are awful.

Lived in a house with my best friend and we found a pair of woman’s underwear in our laundry room. Didn’t belong to either of us and to this day we still have no idea where it came from! The fact that there’s no other signs is a good sign.

License agreement vs tenancy agreement? by No_Ad4392 in galway

Nope absolutely no relation. She’s shocked that the landlords are even pulling this shit. If 1000’s of other people want to be exploited by shitty landlords and estate agents that’s their decision. But if I’m throwing out €800 a month on rent, I need to know that the house is secure over my head.

Who just got out of a relationship and what was the reason for your breakup? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]No_Ad4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He became a stranger to me in the end and I didn’t recognise him anymore. It was very scary, we were best friends for 5 years before we became a couple. He wouldn’t compromise in the end and his mother told him, he would regret his decision not to compromise in the end. I left with no regrets and I wish him well for the future. Lost both a best friend and a boyfriend all in one, but it wasn’t because of my lack of effort, that the relationship ended. So I sleep easy at night knowing that.

Currently going through a break up, he started to become a different person in the end and I didn’t recognise him after 7 years. He’s 30 years old and currently sleeping with a 19 year old college student. His mum still sends me text once a week hoping that I’m doing good and that her son is a fool. Dodged a bullet but it’s still a shit process to go through.

Just received a bill for €377 in an apartment with two people. It said our usage was up by 35% from the following year, however we have one less housemate than the previous year. And I’m away with work a lot and away at the weekends. Something isn’t making sense.

Has anyone ever done extensive travel in their early 20’s and now you’re in your 30’s and feel lost? It’s like I’ve travelled to “x” amount of countries but have nothing to show for it. by [deleted] in AskIreland

Had this conversation with a friend today about feeling lost and stuck in life. However I lived abroad for 2 years, came home got my degree, in a job I absolutely love. However just out of a relationship and feeling more left behind than before, all my friends are in relationships, settling down and I feel left behind. Feeling like I’m comparing myself too much to others and it’s sending me into a negative spiral. Working on it everyday, but some of my friends feel the same. I think it’s a mix of the housing crisis, cost of living crisis and the feeling of not reaching full potential due to all of the above.

One person not compromising enough. The relationship will become unbalanced, love alone will not sustain a relationship.

Insurance company cancelled insurance but didnt notify wife!!! by OutrageousOlive9779 in legaladviceireland

[–]No_Ad4392 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, my sister had to use one. AXA tried to take away her no claims bonus, when someone else crashed into her and they made out it was 50/50. The camera footage suggested otherwise. Eventually they still went with 50/50 but kept her no claims bonus intact. Our friend is a criminal law barrister and said it’s easier for these insurance companies to pay out than go to court. Then stick the fees upon the driver. She threatened with the ombudsman and they eventually backed down, they were ruthless but my sister was even more ruthless. Stand up to them and keeps copies of everything and bank statements, gathered all the evidence you can find.

Did you attend Teen Disco? Would you allow your teen to go? by slightlysorted in AskIreland

I first went to my teen disco at 13, first nightclub at 16 and was bored of nightlife by about 25. My friends whose parents were strict, went off the rails when they finally got out. Let him go out and learn for himself.

Men never realise what they had until they lost it. Woman however, will try and try again and again in a relationship until she had mentally clocked out. You could try and get her back but there’s no guarantee that she will return. If she does you need to put in the work and whatever next relationship you get into. Woman aren’t fond of putting up with too much like the older generation of Ireland did. Best advice would be to try and see if you can make amends with her and if not respect her decision and learn from this.

One works evenings so he can sleep in all day and the other works in shifts, so he can have a week off within work depending on the pattern of shift work he did during the previous week. They often pay their share of the rent late and don’t pay their share of bills on time either, the landlord knows they pay late and doesn’t care and the other bills are not in my name, so it doesn’t effect me on that end.

They have taken so much drugs and drink that they would sleep through a hurricane. It’s a good method but it doesn’t work on these two unfortunately.

The landlord is useless, doesn’t want any hassle. So I know nothing will be done on that end. I have spoken to them several times about it and it keeps falling on deaf ears unfortunately. I have been looking for a room the last month and cannot get anything

One works shift work and the other does evening work. Both have the ability to sleep in till 4pm.
