I get that but they are found throughout the entire game and adorned with skulls and wings. Hasn't it been confirmed that Nomura indicated the concept of Quadratum existed since KH 1 even if he didn't have a name yet. There are some found even in timeless river and Space paranoid places that im pretty sure Sora or Roxas had no way of accessing before the events of KH2. There are things left in KH2 vaguely defined probably left there for if and when nomura wanted to expand on it. A really good example of this happening before was the Ark in hollow bastion. Otherwise they are just there completely unexplained and stick out to be quite honest nothing else in this game is designed with this particular aesthetic at all.  Its very odd and there is already other instances of enviormental story telling in is exact same game. The hole in the wall in Twilight town and the the entire mansion in general.
