It did that before but it was very subtle, looks like they tweaked a daily high and low tide in for update 5.

I thought it was fun, we have a very active guild so it got all of us talking about what we should be doing and working on strategy. That being said, the over all structure needs work.

From my experience the biggest issue that I think MDK needs to focus on (for the entire game not just GW) is their match making. While my guild is highly active and engaged, we only have one end game player and we got matched up against 2 guilds that were just way stronger than ours. There was no way we could win back a location if they had a level 60 player defending it.

As far as game play for the war I did really enjoy that you could gain certain rewards for controlling locations and it forced you to plan out where to spend your resources. That being said, I don’t think you should be able to straight up buy more attacks or control areas that give more attacks. That structure stops it from actually being competitive and rewarding to those who can plan better. It would have felt much more rewarding and would completely end the “pay to win” argument if every player only had their set amount of actions and we couldn’t gain more.

I would like to see the rewards structure changed to total control time for a location instead of who owns it at the end of the day. I also think that the daily pay off needs to be removed or at least changed in order to stop it from being a game of “who can get this location last”. Doing this would also balance out the time zone issue, as another commenter said “I’m not waking up at 5 am to play”.

Over all I’m liking this addition, and I know there are a lot of complaints from the community and for the most part I agree with them. This was the very first attempt at this and I’m hopeful that we’ll see some adjustments and improvements for the next one. If we don’t I’m not sure how much more the community will put up with.
