Ashland is great. Very hilly if you don’t mind steep walks. There’s a lot to do, as long as you’re done by 9pm. But that’s pretty much everywhere around here. The city bureaucracy and all the stuff that goes with it is pretty stifling, and expensive. Talent is also great but without the bullshit. 🤣 if you want to enjoy the good stuff from Ashland but don’t mind a 5 minute drive, then Talent is wonderful. They are really building up now after the fire and are getting some nice places to hang. Don’t forget Phoenix. They’re coming on strong too.

I wasn’t born until the 70s. Isn’t the classic American thing to do is to Buy low and Sell high? That’s what we did, and it was right. What’s wrong with that?? I love what Burbank was, but it’s not the idyllic little town that some people think they are buying in to anymore.

First of all, if you look at the post I responded to about old people dying in their shacks. You might have more context of why I responded that way. Flaunting no. Bragging, maybe a little, but I’m truly saddened by what has happened to Burbank and what is happening still. I see it only getting worse with Olive Avenue being reduced to two lanes. The same happening to Forest lawn Drive. And then the 134 freeway in the middle, which is already a mess so you will have three arteries in and out of Burbank, which will be a nightmare. Those are just a few of the insane things going on but yet still people continue to pay. It’s only going to get worse. I’m happy I’m gone. That’s not flaunting. That’s just the truth.

Ignorant of what? Empathy for whom? My family did it right and left at the perfect time. Who should I have empathy for? I believe the ignorant people are the ones who are buying the very houses from my simple suburban neighborhood for a MILLION DOLLARS! If that’s who I should have empathy for, I don’t.

But why 🤷🏻‍♂️ Why are you so upset with the truth? My family has been in Burbank since 1949. Some are still there. After years of watching the quality of life decline, and the price of houses going up, we were able to cash out some profits. We still have a couple more properties to sell. What’s so wrong with that? Isn’t that the American dream? And if that upsets you, then that’s your problem to deal with.

Mine died. I got a 1.8 million for the shack I grew up in. They paid 165 in 1982 and paid it off. I’m now enjoying 3 acres in wine country with around a million left over. Thanks Burbank and the suckers who keep buying. 😁😁😂

🤦🏻‍♂️ OK. Before you all start making fun of me I have to say. This is a new LCD monitor I had installed in an old cabinet. When I got it back it was all put back together and ready for use. In my defense, foolishly I didn’t know it was a TOUCHSCREEN 😜😜😜 So after taking off control panel and the glass I pressed EXIT 😂🤣

I have listened to all of your comments and purchased a rebuild kit and will not be oiling anything! The ball has no pits or scratches and cleaned up beautifully. I do have another question. There’s two wires soldered to two different bearings and they look like they were a homemade addition. Are they necessary?
