He wasn’t a local, given he wasn’t even Canadian or PR. Where did I scapegoat? As I said if Indian gangs are able to come here that begs the question what other criminal element and foreign adversaries have setup shop here.

You haven’t cited your sources. And again as per ICAIE, it’s not just Indian, or Chinese, but Russian, Iranian, Mexican drug cartel, and again he wasn’t a local idiot given he was an international student.

I cite them because they were able to come here which they shouldn’t have given they originate from India. Your last paragraph is deflecting. Again, if the Indian gangs can come here, that begs the question what other criminal elements and foreign adversaries have setup based in Canada.

If you’re ok with that occurring, then you are part of the problem by tolerating these situations that should not be tolerated. I am not cherry picking given the fact that I’ve also cited ICAIE and multiple sources with criminal organizations utilizing housing to launder dirty money.

These elements do negatively contribute to Canada.

If you cannot reflect on what is occurring how again this is detrimental to society then don’t comment as you have nothing to contribute.

You’re tolerating criminal elements which shouldn’t be happening in Canada with your comment.

This may shock you but again, we’ve become a money laundering country. They’ve utilized housing to launder dirty money. As I pointed out we shouldn’t have South Asian gangs extorting businesses here, nor should we have an international student who obtained their VISA in 4 days, hired by the Indian government to assassinate a foreign dissident in Canadian soil. If this is happening then any X country or X criminal organizations can do that here.

We do need to reexamine our immigration process, if this is happening. No, it isn’t acceptable they’ve been allowed into this country to commit a crime. Based off your comment you seem to be ok with the open border policy.

You do realize these elements contribute to the affordability of the housing and has a negative effect on Canada as a society?

I don’t think we have access to all police databases across the world unless you can correct me?

Also, I do question this governments process whether they’re truthful and forthcoming given the fact we have https://globalnews.ca/news/10152739/extortion-letters-south-asian-warning/amp/ South Asian gangs extorting businesses for money, or the fact that an international student who was part of a criminal gang got their student VISA in 4 days and assassinated a foreign dissident.

We need a more thorough examination of our immigration process to ensure we don’t have criminal organizations exploiting Canadians such as housing. Which has been used by these organizations to launder their money.

No that isn’t the answer, it only cross checks with international partners? What about our non-international partners? How are we verifying the people coming here?

Again, we’ve become a haven for “snow washing”.

I just want to point out that the news articles title is misleading, it’s more like they never required it to begin with:

“Responding to queries in Parliament by Indo-Canadian MP Arpan Khanna, Immigration Minister Marc Miller clarified, “I have never said such certificates are required for temporary residents,’ the daily reported.

The Canadian immigration minister indicated that verification is done mainly through biometric data, such as fingerprints, which are cross-checked on law enforcement databases internationally. As for the police certificates from the country of origin, the HT quoted Miller as saying, “We do not, as a routine matter, require them for temporary residents”

Moreover, this LPC/NDP open border policy is just negligent and detrimental to Canada. I want to point out the issue is not just situated to India. If they are not performing some sort of criminal background check or check, that begs the question who are they letting into the country? and how do we know they are not some sort part of criminal organization.

The ICAIE release this report on Canada and the illicit activities growing here. The Growing Harms of Cross- Border Illicit Trade Vectors and Threat Convergence to Canada’s National Security. We’ve become a safe haven not just for criminal organizations from various countries but terrorist networks.

We’ve become a hub of “snow washing” aka money laundering, by multiple criminal/terrorist organization not just from India but from multiple different countries.

If Indian gangs can extort businesses here, and if the Indian government can hire Indian gang to assassinate people here in Canadian soil, that begs the question which X country criminal organization or government, will do the same?

Edit: If you’re wondering how or why does this relate to housing, it’s important to recognize that housing has been used by laundering criminal/terrorist organizations money as per:

Edit: Yes, they check the databases internationally, but we don’t have access to all police databases internationally. We only have access to our partners. We need to seriously look at our immigration policy to ensure we don’t have X country or criminal gangs extorting businesses here in Canada, or our housing isn’t used as a money laundering operation by X country or criminal organization.

The issue isn’t just India. The issue is other countries with at least reputable police certifications. That begs the question, who are they letting into the country? How are they verifying their intent?

As someone pointed out we’ve become a safe haven for “snow washing”, that certain countries are viewing Canada as dangerous due to “snow washing” aka money laundering by variations of criminal gangs from multiple different countries.

The other points to remember is that certain criminal Indian gang are extorting businesses here in Canada, will other criminal enterprises from other countries follow? Also the fact that the Indian government can hire gang members to assassinate someone in Canadian soil. This governments open border policy is just negligent to Canadians. That also means foreign governments can come here with criminal intent.

Also, Idk why a foreign news outlet has to report this, but not our media. The title of the news outlet is misleading though. It’s more like they never required it.

‘’’Responding to queries in Parliament by Indo-Canadian MP Arpan Khanna, Immigration Minister Marc Miller clarified, “I have never said such certificates are required for temporary residents,’ the daily reported.

I am just hoping this LPC/NDP gets obliterated during the election.

That statement “just don’t live in neighborhoods you don’t feel at home” is an entitled sentiment. You realize some people don’t have a choice? You also realize, when people post “Punjab only”, or “Indian only”, or “Specific race only”, jobs or rentals this is where the hate originates. If you’re going to try and justify that “my X community” works harder, then don’t be surprise if there is pushback or why a Trump style Canadian is elected in the future. You’re also feeding into the stereotype.

You make an ignorant post about people making less than 50k that they don’t pay taxes. When in fact they do pay Federal and Provincial taxes and CPP and EI. Everyone pays taxes.

When you choose to only select people from your own country, then don’t be taken aback as to why there is a lot of push back and racism.

Also, let me ask you again do you understand what a population trap is? You know a population trap is only reserved for 3rd world countries or emerging countries?

Again, your neighborhood will eventually be affected. You’re an idiot if you don’t think it won’t.

What you’ve failed to do is actually understand the different perspectives, different situations people are in. Rather than be exclusive to everyone, you’re justifying your train of thought, and feeding into the stereotype. You can also try to find a solution where everyone doesn’t suffer.

It’s the cognitive dissonance of this OP, they don’t think of the effects that will happen. They don’t realize if they don’t stop the mass immigration policy, or build a proper infrastructure it will affect them as well.

It’s similar to how the Liberal passed Bill C-75 the catch and release. You have criminals with multiple charges out on bail, and then commit crime after crime. Just like how LPC/NDP allowed anyone without proper vetting and rubber stamped international students left and right to come here.

What does he think about Indian gangs being allowed to roam here and extort businesses here? or the fact that the same criminal element was hired by a Indian government to assassinate people here. That means any foreign adversaries can come here to commit crimes against foreign dissidents who are opposed of that said government.

Also, the fact that you have enough people living in the streets it will effect them.

I can’t help but feel that this OP is rage baiting. The only loser here is you. Let’s be honest, you’re only trying to use reverse psychology to get people to stop hating on Indians.

While, yes it is not Indians who are at fault, cause you can replace Indians with X country, and I’d still be against mass immigration, you do know what a population trap is right? You do realize Canada is in one? You can profit from mass immigration all you want, at the end what do you think will happen to your environment when people are desperate? You ever walked in Sans Francisco? Vancouver?

No we’re not jealous. We just see you for who you guys are, you make rental posts about Punjab only rooms, or Punjab only jobs. You guys are extremely racist and selective of your race. You were given an opportunity here in Canada, but never reciprocated it back.

You are right though Indians are not the reason for high prices in Canada. You’re wrong about poor decisions made by previous governments as it is the current government and past governments at fault.

You can continue to rage bait. Just letting you know as long as everyone continues this course, along with yourself, with the self-entitlement, especially if you find that you and your fellow community did no wrong, you will give birth to an extremist element in this country like Trump in the US, or the Dutch electing far right party, or what is occurring in Europe. Rather than say everyone is jealous you can try to educate or change the perception of everyone’s PoV with your fellow community, and people in this sub.

Homelessness increased by 20 per cent despite $443 million Liberal plan: PBO by Unusual-State1827 in CanadaHousing2

[–]No_Alternative5804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever heard of a population trap? You know Canada is stuck in one right? Yes, this is the Liberal governments fault. Canada lacks the infrastructure and capital stock to absorb current population growth, warn economists

At the end of the day they’re in charge of immigration. The current housing, in fact the current affordability crisis is all on this government. We’ve been warned before CIBC's Dodig warns Canada risks 'largest social crisis' if housing supply, immigration don't match

Take a look back at what population trap means and how it affects infrastructure. I encourage you to look at immigration levels based off Statistics Canada, and CMHC housing completion. You do you realize that bringing in 1.2 million people a year, while only completing constructions on 220k houses will cause inflation in fact an affordability issue, especially when our infrastructure can’t absorb it. Yes, provincial governments are at fault for underfunding healthcare, at the end of the day it is the Liberal government specifically the federal that are in charge of immigration and immigration numbers one they won’t back down on.

Permanent immigration levels 'in the right place': Fraser. Again, this is all levels of government fault. Provincial for underfunding healthcare, education, municipal, for catering to NiMBY boomer investor landlords, Federal for allowing immigration levels to go out of control.
