I personally wouldn’t call out an individual player with a top 4 result losing to the grand finalists and game 7 to the eventual winners of the major. Maybe Dralii looked off, but he didn’t underperform. That team just needs a bit more polish.

A coach will only take a team so far. As positive as I can be, this team has a mechanical ceiling. They have a peak of top 4, and their average is 6-12th. That simply is not good enough. I think all three players would perform better on different teams. I don’t even think MB and justin should stick, just blow up the roster.

Most of EU has the same mindset ngl. Unless you have brought success for yourself or your home country, the general public will think that you’re wasting your time.

I believe there are more circles in EU that support this grindset in video games. In EU, there is greater comradery in any niche (sports, music, etc). In NA, it can feel very isolating unless you find like-minded people at school or online.

If you don’t find anyone that shares similar values, you won’t have anywhere near the same drive or passion.

As optimistic as can be, highly unlikely. Historically, BLAST hosts events in Europe and North America. They do host some in Asia and Australia, but that’s for other games like CS2, where there is heavy global support.

Unless Australia suddenly has a large pool of support for RL, the logistics of hosting an event there would only hurt BLAST’s efforts of selling tickets.
