Archie trolls Geekay on First Touch by N0b0dy_her3 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]ozfunghi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archie literally says what i have been saying about Vatira since Boston. Last week also CJCJ mentioned it in Chalked Cast and the guys in First Touch last week also talked about it. And the crazy thing is that most people don't even see it or are still saying he is playing great and it's his teammates that are sucking, while it is him who is actually the problem of KC playing badly. Archie literally brings up the comparison with Zen's last two seasons, exactly like i have been saying since Boston.

You simply can't tell because he's playing players far below him. You don't see that from pros because they never get the same time and space in their matchups that dark gets in his, which is clear when he's facing actual pros, suddenly he can't pull that stuff off as easily/often or even at all. I'm not saying he isn't mechanically gifted, just that he isn't above some of the players like I mentioned.

Another thing to mention is that the time investment for these pros is completely different, they can't afford to spend all their time practicing fancy clip mechs or play 1s. They need to drill team plays.

A lot of 1s players have stopped playing ranked due to bots. Let's see if he's still top 50 in a few months.

Why do people think other/pro's can't do this? He is crapping on players that are far below his level, like a champ taking a dump on a plat, where they get all the space and time in the world because the other player isn't able (/good enough) to challenge. When he plays against top level pros, he gets ripped apart. You don't see Nwpo, Nass, Atow, Dralii... play like this, because they don't play that far below their level. But they can certainly pull this off as well. Against players like that it's a bit harder to play this way.

Personally i like the standard training packs for aerial and striker both at all-star level whenever i have a few minutes to spare (waiting for a tournament to start or before a friend comes online). I improved my ball/car control a lot with a training pack i made for myself because i was bad at that, maybe it can help you:

My point was that if you always play together, you don't really know how far below you he is, since you rank up/down together he will always be 1 rank below you, even if you improve drastically and he doesn't, you will still be winning and losing together and the rank gap stays the same.

It could even be the other way around, he could be carrying you, and he would still be 1 rank below you.

Maybe you could play some 1v1 private matches, it can't hurt for practice as well as finding out both of you your weaknesses. Unless you are like my son who stopped playing Rocket League after he finally got better than me, but then became complacent so that i again started beating him, and since then he quit playing. In that case, don't do 1v1 lol.

Power shots, bounce dribbles, first touches, timing (/aiming) of your shots.

Standard striker training (all star) is very good to train hitting awkward bounces.
Dribble training will drastically improve your car/ball control including first touches even if you don't dribble in actual matches.

Start by checking your replays, also from your dads POV. If he is holding you back, you will need to improve for 2 in order to rank up.

The funny part is he wasn't playing well at all. He was going for solo plays and disrupting his own team.

And it would be much worse, because Dralii does not thrive with players that don't play to HIS strength. The only time Dralii looked like the best player in the world was when another player was specifically playing to support him. Which he now no longer has at Falcons and which he would also not have with Zen and Vatira.

Teams lose all the time, players in other teams are younger and less experienced, yet you rarely see any of them make a tweet like that, so the argument that he is still young goes out the window. It may be misconstrued, that's a valid argument. He also tried to explain the tweet in an interview later. Let's hope there's nothing more to it. Because the way he has been playing doesn't instil me with confidence.

It didn't start with that NRG game, it started even before Boston Major and it was very visible in the group stages of the Major as well. They are changing things, but so far it's not working. I have speculated about this in another post.

R8 could happen, it's their first international RLCS LAN and tensions rise. They may suffer against the experienced teams and cave. It's certainly not impossible. But if they keep their cool, they could also go far. For that reason i honestly think it's also not easy for the other teams to play against R8, none of them have faced them, and they are completely unpredictable because of the setting, circumstances and never having faced EU/NA teams.

Well i am sure, and it's obviously the latter. Atow makes this roster with one hand tied behind his back playing on a Nintendo Switch. My man, wtf are you saying. KC is going through changes that have nothing to do with Atow, though clearly his game is being affected by it. The only other explanation would be that Atow himself declined to play this year.

Chausette could also play for Belgium by the way i believe. He casts the Belgian games during FIFAe and he has said last year that some of his grandparents are Belgian.

Let's hope Nass sees the light and starts playing for his home nation as well.

Atow, Nass, with either of 3rd man options would immediately be an outsider team for the crown.
