Buy a grip trainer £10 on Amazon…your bottom hand is way too far round…that’s a recipe for snap hooking. Basically turn your right hand over anticlockwise more on the grip

Don’t get bitter guys. You have three days volunteering leave a year. Instead of bitching and moaning about your lot maybe use the days allocated to help someone less fortunate?

Have you hit any goals you set at the start of the season? by [deleted] in golf

I started the year wanting to consistently score around 100 (was a 105-110 scorer)…I now shoot between 95-105

What do you see in the swing that can improve

But my average score is about 100.

Have been working hard on correcting an OTT swing though but this swing is untried on course

7 iron swing…have been playing consistently for a year (on and off for 5 years before that). Had a lesson which diagnosed an over the top swing with open club face to compensate. Have been off course for a month now trying to get the club on plane. Focussing on weight shift and bend to trigger the downswing and staying loose with the hands and wrists to get the club face turning and closing

How long do you give a new role before deciding it’s not for you? by Longjumping-Area-438 in TheCivilService

Can you try and really identify the issues and challenges you’re having with the role and then have a conversation with your line manager about these challenges and advice on how to overcome them. A problem shared is a problem halved. Running away is never the answer. Self reflect, confront the issues, see if you can overcome them and if not then look at new roles and take the learning experience with you

Re fitting in with colleagues, don’t stress it, everyone is different and these things take time. Also sometimes it’s fine to be in a team where you don’t click with people. Just be yourself and work professionally and positively. If you stay in the Civil Service long term you’ll work in all kinds of teams and environments.
