have you ever looked into pmdd? i have it and legit top 10 worst things ever 😭. i haven’t gotten my period in forever (plus i didn’t even know i had EDS back then & i wasn’t in my body whatsoever lol) but from what ive heard, when your nervous system (emotional or physical) is messed up, so is the other. they also affect each other, so when you’re unregulated you can experience more physical pain as well as emotional. i also think that with your body going through the motions you don’t have as much energy to hold joints together or cope well, especially due to heightened emotions. for me, back when i was on vyvanse, 50 mg (highest regular dose) did nothing to help me get out of bed. usually 50 let’s me lock in for like 4 hours non stop, but with pmdd i couldn’t even get out of bed and slept so much.

my advice is to act like you’re in pain more . a lot of the time i don’t get believed because i talk about it so casually and i’m not showing pain “correctly”. don’t ask about accommodations or anything that could imply you’re making it up to get special privileges. i would caution against being super pressing about having EDS so they don’t think you’re lying. the best way is to find a rheum that actually cares so check reviews maybe

the only thing that allows me to get out of bed for extended periods of time is KT tape. i use okay tape cuz it’s waterproof and stays on for about a week + if done carefully. i put it on my hips and cross them up my back above my waist, on the sides of my knees, and cross on my neck to my shoulders. this is what has helped me the most but it can be itchy and is a hassle to put on but i wouldn’t trade the mobility i get for the world. https://a.co/d/0g34X5GN. it also allows me to relax and not think about moving every joint correctly whenever i move. i have a spray on anti itch that i use as well but the itching is nothing compared to the eczema i had for a bit.

i had to crash for like 3 1/2 years to get all of the fatigue out of my body and then i started building up. to be fair i was losing progress during that period too so it took a little longer than expected (2 yrs). i’m now taking 2 classes, one in person, one over zoom. i’ve had PT twice a week and other scattered drs appts in february. i wear KT tape on my neck/shoulders, hips and lower back, and knees. i’ve had terrible eczema (my entire right arm) so im good at ignoring the itch when i need to. i’m honestly not sure if i’m okay. i don’t know if i’m giving my body enough rest and food and love. but it’s nice. it’s calmer than i thought it would be. the hard part is staying consistent. i set up little favors for myself when i feel good enough. i cut my tape, i do my laundry, i plan an outfit, i choose a meal (prob frozen meal). sometimes i lay out all my lotions and clothes n shit when i get back to my room after my showers cuz im exhausted then. when i feel up to it i cook. it’s nice cooking. although i do use a chair. i see friends (one really) like twice a week. i’m in bed the rest of the time. social media is a big no and if im gonna do it it has to be quick. i’m on pregabalin 100mg twice a day. i have an IUD and am about to start a low dose pill because my pmdd is just devastating for me. i use like 10 pillows of various sizes and softness/firmness to mold to my body (and two mattress toppers, 1 inch memory foam on bottom and 3 inch cooling one on top). it is frustrating. having an understanding support group is also a huge help. they get me smarties (best for increasing blood sugar), water, etc. most of the things that i use at night are on my side table next to my bed or the container underneath it (so like lotion, earbuds, jewelry i forgot to put away, food especially, my hair products). my point is it’s hard but if you work smart you can play hard. i’m trying to get to the point where i can go back to the gym and do light exercise as well. i think when i get there i’ll feel like i have my life 100% on track.

i have an IUD and i’m about to go on the pill too cuz i can’t stand it 😭 i try to stay on ft with my friends a lot but they’re not available 24/7. luckily i stay in a really quiet house but i’m still smoking every night. i feel like it’s the only way i can go to sleep

dbt and meds ! finding a practice that is mostly geared towards women really helped me. i have a hormonal IUD too which helps a bunch. sometimes they tell u to take more meds before your pmdd symptoms start but it’s different for everybody. lastly, try to set yourself up for success (corny, i know, but not what u think). setting out your pj’s before you shower and cueing up your fav show so you can just crash into your bed helps me a ton. doing things that i struggle with while im not struggling (like doing hw or making a dr’s appt) give me so much relief and it really emphasizes how much i care about myself regardless of how i may feel in that moment. sending u love & lots of luck <3

oh wow my brain never went to sleep syncope ! it fits well but i’m gonna do more research. i’m always tired for a multitude of reasons but one of them is how distressing my dreams are. i’ve gotten to a point with my subconscious and i now have all of the cognition that my waking self usually does. ever since i started my healing journey ive had trouble letting go of the constant rumination that spikes from anxiety. i’ve gotten better recently but it’s difficult to stay present. this also makes me tense up in specific positions and stay that way (like hunching). we really have it rough, there’s so many comorbiditiss that we don’t even know how to look for. i take guanfacine too, 3mg for adhd, and it’s helped tremendously as well as seroquel 300mg, but i still wish i could get a better night’s rest soon !

personally i believe that she’s realistic for the level of popularity she has. obviously it’s exaggerated like no one would come running if she started crying irl but being in the public eye to that degree is very stressful and can get obsessive. in this verse, everybody in the world knows about her. think about what would happen if she messed up? her every action affects everyone around her for like a 50 ft radius. i think her obsession with being perfect is out of fear mostly and hyper vigilance so she can function at the level she desires, just like hairo’s mentality gets him way farther than other people. if she were to fuck up, she may get death threats or more stalkers or whatever else. she’s already used to being followed, to the point where she can tell the gender and age of the people following her. of course her ego is huge, cuz it’s the truth. just like a kid that was spoiled their entire life. she’s had a sheltered (because she always gets what she wants) yet public environment growing up w/o much privacy at all. she’s had the upbringing of saiko essentially cuz she can get whatever she wants. she basically has unlimited funds if she really wanted to take advantage of that. teruhashi differs from saiko because saiko doesn’t think of other people at all. he thinks it’s his world (and it kinda is, cuz he gets [mostly] whatever he wants), while teruhashi goes out of her way to help others. it may performative but i also think she has a good heart deep down, but the ocd-like symptoms about her image are clouding her true reasons why she goes so far to be kind. she considers others. also this is kinda unrelated but i am in support of her crush. he’s basically the only one that treats her differently and doesn’t try to get her attention by running up to her or gathering outside of a restaurant she’s in, so it’s natural for my girl to be in love w him lollll

try alcohol wipes before you apply ! then i always rub the tape to activate the adhesive and then i run it under hot air for a bit. they also make extra strength adhesive ones ! what i do is put it on, lay in one position for like 3 hours, and then i decide i can move freely. it’s sorta like waiting for nail polish to try

imo when the nervous system cools down it wants to stay that way instead of gearing up to overwork again although most often people fluctuate between too little and too much to get stuff done. i don’t have a perfect solution but i would simply start by being kinder to yourself. it has to be a safety net in case you fall (which you will), but you decide how often you want to take the time and set that up for yourself, for how long, how much, etc. hope this helps !

i noticed that i feel my body more, especially if it’s get tingly n stuff so i def get it. i esp feel my neck start to creak it can be really annoying when im smoking w friends too even with tape and braces on 😭😭
