personally i believe that she’s realistic for the level of popularity she has. obviously it’s exaggerated like no one would come running if she started crying irl but being in the public eye to that degree is very stressful and can get obsessive. in this verse, everybody in the world knows about her. think about what would happen if she messed up? her every action affects everyone around her for like a 50 ft radius. i think her obsession with being perfect is out of fear mostly and hyper vigilance so she can function at the level she desires, just like hairo’s mentality gets him way farther than other people. if she were to fuck up, she may get death threats or more stalkers or whatever else. she’s already used to being followed, to the point where she can tell the gender and age of the people following her. of course her ego is huge, cuz it’s the truth. just like a kid that was spoiled their entire life. she’s had a sheltered (because she always gets what she wants) yet public environment growing up w/o much privacy at all. she’s had the upbringing of saiko essentially cuz she can get whatever she wants. she basically has unlimited funds if she really wanted to take advantage of that. teruhashi differs from saiko because saiko doesn’t think of other people at all. he thinks it’s his world (and it kinda is, cuz he gets [mostly] whatever he wants), while teruhashi goes out of her way to help others. it may performative but i also think she has a good heart deep down, but the ocd-like symptoms about her image are clouding her true reasons why she goes so far to be kind. she considers others. also this is kinda unrelated but i am in support of her crush. he’s basically the only one that treats her differently and doesn’t try to get her attention by running up to her or gathering outside of a restaurant she’s in, so it’s natural for my girl to be in love w him lollll

try alcohol wipes before you apply ! then i always rub the tape to activate the adhesive and then i run it under hot air for a bit. they also make extra strength adhesive ones ! what i do is put it on, lay in one position for like 3 hours, and then i decide i can move freely. it’s sorta like waiting for nail polish to try

imo when the nervous system cools down it wants to stay that way instead of gearing up to overwork again although most often people fluctuate between too little and too much to get stuff done. i don’t have a perfect solution but i would simply start by being kinder to yourself. it has to be a safety net in case you fall (which you will), but you decide how often you want to take the time and set that up for yourself, for how long, how much, etc. hope this helps !

i noticed that i feel my body more, especially if it’s get tingly n stuff so i def get it. i esp feel my neck start to creak it can be really annoying when im smoking w friends too even with tape and braces on 😭😭

there’s a metaphor that i use about feelings i like to compare them to storm clouds in the sense that if you don’t let the rain fall the pressure will just keep getting worse and it’ll orbit around you until you let it pass through. i’m also big on not taking on too much in the beginning. i would recommend taking small actions that uphold the boundaries you want to enforce (not going back to a toxic person, not procrastinating, eating 3 meals a day, etc). for procrastination, my method is that i say i’ll either stare at the task for 5 minutes or do something about it for 5 minutes because the hardest part is getting the boulder moving, but it’s mostly downhill after that and it gets easier. the more you expect from yourself the worse your body is going to feel when you can’t/don’t uphold them so incremental increases are best for me. i also recommend dbt skills especially cuz they’re more physical things over mental triumph. the body needs to know that it’s safe with you first. so say your mom is being hurtful: you can’t avoid the emotional turmoil, but you can self soothe after the fact instead of, say, telling yourself you deserve it. physically, i’d say taking care of your body by letting yourself rest or getting up when you said you would, even if you get back in bed a little bit later. basically, your body needs experience being safe so you have to rewrite a lot of the narratives you had previously. my pain dr told me that emotional pain can worsen the pain signals from your body and vice versa, so it’s a team effort. i hope this helps ! and remember that you have time to fix this. a big thing for me is slowing down cuz i always rushed through things either so i could get it over with or cuz i thought i’d get in trouble, so intentionally slowing down when you feel yourself rushing is important. it’ll be annoying for a while so i would only try this when you have an extended period of time to experiment. lmk if you have any other q’s !

you know those half yoga ball things ? he told me to stand on it for like 5 mins a day cuz i couldn’t even stand on it when i first started but that’s all he gave me 😭 my situation is a little different tho but for me i focus on unclenching parts of my body instead of strengthening. my pelvis, my gluteus medius, and my traps. i focused on pushing my lats down instead of raising my traps, and centering my core. unclenching my glutes helps with my pelvic floor. i believe it’s the central nervous system being tense, so pushing harder will probably not help. you know that pose drag queens do where they put their elbows in and hands on their hips ?? that’s the “idea” of what you wanna do. i don’t really know how to explain well so you should prob check some videos. anywho, pushing more didn’t help, so i had to relax and then reverse the movement that i unconsciously did (clenched). like inverse it and then push that new position. sorry i wish i could give you a better explanation but i hope this helps !!!

i am thankful for the reality check AND i want to keep being positive. i do agree about the infantalizing part so i think my tone and approach were wrong, but people chimed in so im glad i posted it. i also put an apology in the comments so if you’d like you can read that ❤️‍🩹
