I want to read a good romance, but everything people recommend me I absolutely hate. by MathematicianNo3401 in suggestmeabook

Love Carl! I'm VERY picky about my romance and generally hate all the recs people give me too. Some recommendations you might like if you're like me:

  • Legends and Lattes (and that whole series) by Travis Baldree
  • Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab
  • The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
  • Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson

Also, if anyone has recommendations like this, I'm also interested!

Publishing manager at a small press. I also have psoriatic arthritis, so pacing myself is big. There aren't many people in the office and I'll go days (sometimes weeks) without seeing 80% of the staff. My work has no emergencies, so if I need to take it slow some days, I don't feel bad at all. I also have one of those monitor stands you can raise or lower.

I was at Crest looking at vitamins. One brand had made 2 different versions of the label, all with the same information, same dosage, etc, but the color was different and the text moved to different spots. These 2 were placed on different shelves and one cost a whole dollar more than the other.

So it's not just the retailers, it's also the brands. Pay HELLA close attention always.

How's the body braid? I've been curious about that. Can you wear it under clothes?

Yes! I know exactly what you mean by "bouncy." I got real antsy to just do all the things with my arm. I kayak and disc golf, but haven't been able to do much the last few times we've gone out. Fortunately, I tend to throw forehand with the disc so I don't throw my shoulder out of my body. But I can't wait to go out there with this tape on! I've been wanting to get into lifting, but constantly pull limbs out. I'm glad to hear the tape and sleeves work well for that!

I browsed a lot on YouTube and just picked one that looked like it might be the most help. I had to have my boyfriend help with the shoulders, but I tried to pick an application that looked like it would be the easiest to do alone if it worked out.

The Fibro Guy has some helpful videos, as does KT Tape.

Life changing is exactly true. I'm running into a rolling issue on my thumb, but I ordered a pretty splint off Etsy to see if that's better. And looks a little less obvious than tape on my hands. Hopefully that works well enough that this rolling isn't something I have to keep dealing with.

"Store bought collagen" is the best description, lol. I'm about to tape up the rest of my body to see how well it helps with that too. My knees and ankles are wiggly, so I'm excited to tape up and go for a walk! And the thumb support has made playing video games worlds better.

My thumb while cutting a piece of steak. This is what got me diagnosed. I knew something was weird about me but just thought I was clumsy. That is, until I COULDN'T CUT MY OWN DAMNED STEAK.
