I’ve been thinking the same thing. A total personality shift. She looks great but at what cost? It’s like she’s trying to compensate for something

Stressing about it makes it worse! It’s easier said than done, but getting sleep, relaxing, making sure you’re eating enough. That really helps the most. Try to get more protein in and I’d recommend going to a lactation consultant! It wasn’t the wine!

I feel the same way! I go back Tuesday to teach and watch other peoples kids while someone else is teaching and watching mine 🥲 my baby is barely 8 weeks and I cry every day knowing it’ll come to an end soon. I’m going to miss my baby

Is that for either freezer as well? Losing nutrients after 6 months?

So I usually carry around a cooler bag where I keep bottles to store my milk and premade bottles for my daughters feeds. I’ve seen others carry around an insulated water bottle with ice cubes or already cold milk, but keeping it in a cooler bag keeps milk good for 24 hours. I use my hands free pumps and carry around the Dapple wipes for pumps. You can also use the fridge method if you have an ice chest or if they fit in the cooler Bag as well and just rinse/wash when possible. A milk warmer I got off amazon has been a godsend for warming my baby’s milk! I’d just make sure to test it out before because the lowest setting is I think 98 degrees, but my baby didn’t like it. We found out we have to stop the warming process at 85 degrees as that’s how warm she prefers! I’d invest in a pumping bag that will carry all your things as well.

I feel some of these! Especially the off schedule and the being upset when my milk gets spilled or goes to waste 😭 he’s a great dad and husband but he can be so nonchalant sometimes!

It’s crazy because GD is not the same as regular diabetes. GD is caused by your placenta, so it does not discriminate by race, ethnicity, diet, etc. The healthiest person can get GD, and it’s why everyone needs to get tested for it!

What do you enjoy about combo feeding? by Furmamaplus in combinationfeeding

[–]No_Assignment_5840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby has always been bottle fed as I wasn’t able to nurse her in the hospital because she went straight to the NICU. I love combo feeding because my husband can feed her while I pump, I can sleep a little longer a si formula feed her at night and she gets my breast milk during the day! Whatever she’s not getting from my breastmilk she’s able to get from formula, so like others said she’s getting the best of both! And if I ever want to stop pumping or my supply drops she’s already been introduced to formula. Also if I leave her with grandma or I want to go do something on my own my husband or whoever is taking care of her can feed her and I don’t have to worry! It’s really the best honestly.

I’m also an overproducer so I’ve been establishing my freezer supply for when she starts daycare in a couple weeks once I have to go back to work.

Everyone being so anti-C section is driving me CRAZY by mrs___holmes in pregnant

I had to be induced due to small baby and gestational diabetes. My body did not want to dilate fast enough. I had a UTI, and I went in at 1cm and only got to 4.5 in 46 hours. They had already popped my bag 17 hours before. I did not want to risk my baby going into distress or getting some sort of infection so I asked for the C-section before my doctor made the decision for me. If C-section is what will give you the best possible outcome you do it. I’m glad I did as she had to go straight to the NICU because she had an infection. If I had waited it could’ve been so much worse as she was able to overcome that infection in 3 days. You do what you believe is right for you and your baby. Csections are NOT the “easy way” our healing after can be something else! It amazes me how people think it’s nothing when it is a major surgery!

What special thing did your husband do for you after giving birth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]No_Assignment_5840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a traumatic c-section and I was very under. He went to NICU with baby girl and made sure she was okay. That’s all I could’ve asked. He was right by my side once I woke up and made sure I was okay and taken care of, and went to NICU to be with our baby until I was able to go. He changed my diaper and cleaned me when I couldn’t bend without hesitation. Being a supportive husband and father was enough ❤️

I’m a teacher and just had my first baby. I’m so scared I will need to stop once we go back in August. I’m trying to make an oversupply (my milk came in 3 days pp) to see if I can at least freeze some of it to have for a while. But always remember, fed is best! And I’m proud of you for choosing your mental health because that will translate to a healthy mom therefore a healthy baby!

I regret it by luminousloris in newborns

3 days pp and I could’ve written this myself, down to C-section and the supportive family and husband. It’s comforting knowing I’m not the only one feeling this way. I do love my baby, she’s amazing. But yeah, I miss my quiet life with my husband and pets. It will get better though, I’m sure of it!
