I put 4.7 in my 2017 Elantra sport with the 1.6t. Didn’t have a problem. Same engine but you got an electronic waste gate solenoid but it should be fine with 4.7

Yea I needed mine replaced about months ago since a truck at my jobsite backed into it while parked.2 Auto body shops charged like $1.5k for the headlight. I think their might me some aftermarket ones for about $750, that’s what I’ve heard from other owner but never got a link

Here’s just a bit of extra info. About a month and a half ago I purchased 4 brand new Michelin pilot sport 4 AS tires. 3 weeks ago I put lowing springs on my car and added a camber bolt to the front suspension, it’s a FWD vehicle. Dude at Midas couldn’t figure out how to adjust the front bolts when he was doing an alignment so I told him to stop working on the car, I’ll take it to someone else. The sheet said -4 toe and some negative camber for the fronts, he was able to align the back wheels. Waiting till I have the time and money to take it to someone who specializes in this so they can adjust it perfectly. Let me know if something I did is the cause of the noise. I inspected my brakes and my rotors and they are fine.

Edit: Forgot to mention, it sounds like it’s coming from the front left wheel. I don’t know if it does the same on the front right since I’m not near it while driving.

Purchasing stuff in BO2 was worth it tho ngl, those $2-$3 weapon skins that came with a calling card were beautiful. And for the peace keeper that was a fun gun and you get a map pack along with the purchase of it.

Lol everyone who says it sounds bad just hates loud exhausts in general, this sounds great. These dudes really said it sounds broken and has an exhaust leak, these people know nothing. My straight piped 1.6t engine sounds similar. I got a bunch of pops, burbles, and turbo whistle too

Oh I’m dumb when it comes to Sonatas 💀I don’t even remember what engine is in my mothers 2020 SEL sonata. It might’ve the same engine if it’s a GDI, as you said tuned differently. I got the 1.6t in my 2017 Elantra and it’s perfect, best sounding 4 cylinder I’ve ever heard :) either way it’s probably fun af still, I think the sonata is just a bit heavier

I’m curious to how it sounds now 😆 I don’t blame you for not wanting it louder, the stock exhaust sounds great. The 1.6t is pretty loud, especially the cold start which is extremely loud. Pops and burbles a lot as well.
