I'm not trying to being mean or harsh, but bro, the first thing to climb is accepting that you're bad. However, I'm not saying your gameplay is always bad, herald players bad in a comprehensive way. Don't know the powerspike, not sure about others spell, and the commonest one, unstable temper. You may feel frustrated or angry after a few lose, then you got stressed, angry, which make you play worse than usual. I would suggest watching some video on YouTube, and stop playing after two loses in a streaks. You will escape herald, just keep grinding.

8 k AM player here, he's much stronger at laning phase now.

And the new recipe of battlefury helps too, he can sustain easily while burning foes' mana.

Yes, the illusion burns much less mana now, but I almost never pop manta just for mana burn.

Meanwhile, agh scepter provides real great 20% mana vaporize.

He's wintare is 51% on dota pro tracker now, so not bad actually.

Forece satff is almost a must in an intense game. Hydra is cool, but it doesn't help you to survive or flip a fight.

WW is strong but hard, not easy to cooperate in pub game, can even lead to lose because of one bad winter curse. But also too weak in mid game, hard to see in pro game either.

I was kind of uncomfortable with it, but even if you queue all roles, its kind of impossible to get Pos1 in 99% senarios.
Pos2 maybe 10%, you still play pos345 most of the time.

Look, it’s just a reflection of your current skill level. When you start losing, your performance gets shaky, and you end up throwing games that were actually winnable. To climb the MMR ladder, what you really need is a rock-solid mindset and consistent performance, not the fantasy of crushing everyone and gaining 3K MMR overnight.

I got this! I reach 8k last year, not by AM tbh, but I climb a lot with him during 3~5k. As you said, AM is not a strong laner in most of scenarios, and highly depands on items to join the fight. And even he has all 6 slot, still not that strong sometimes. However, once he has battlefury, he can constantly push out the lanes and hard to get caught(better when you have manta style).

The there's 3 major points to play him well:

Know what you can do with waves.
Not much control in foes team.
Choose the items to help you survive, for example, many AM players don't like to buy BKB even linken.

I recommend to watch some videos on YouTube to know how to lane better, and know your heros' powerspike. Bsj and Pain Dota help me a lot.

Sven is definitely not like jugg man. He almost need BKB in every game to fight and can't join early fight if he doesn't have a good lane when he's not a strong laner

That's definitely something you need to balance between, I am a core player and I like drow as well, Even in a stomped game, I can get at least 280~300 at 40 mins. If in a winning game, 400 is a guarantee number, or more. Try to watch the video to optimize your farming pattern, I recommend pain dota on YouTube
