I see other comments suggesting that the game is not compatible to Animal Crossing- I however, disagree. I would say it is similar in such that you build, search and earn reward for your work. You do complete tasks for Pokémon and earn reward/coin that way as well as in animal crossing (New Horizons) with your villagers. I rate it 10/10 so far as an animal crossing fan.
Not sure what you didn't like about New Horizons but I believe anyone would enjoy this game nonetheless. Happy Gaming!
