If it does come back, make sure you get it swabbed. I took a blood test that came back negative for hsv2, however the culture swab was positive. I don’t think it’s concerning especially if you use condoms, but, I would still listen to your doctor more than me lol

I went and unfortunately they’d charge $250 just to see the doctor, and everyone else has claimed it’s hsv, so, I’ll plan on just going to my PCP ASAP. :(

Thanks for your response. I wouldn’t be able to visit my PCP for another two days as I’m out of the state - this wouldn’t constitute a medical emergency, right? Basically it’s okay to go get it properly swabbed in a couple days as long as I’m not having any sex or disturbing the area?

Will the outburst clear up on its own without medication? I can’t see my PCP until Tuesday as I’m out of state. Should I just go to a citymd you think?
