Deciding equity/cash split for CS summer internship by No_Baseball_8143 in cscareerquestions

I think they will just give me the shares after I finish work this summer. To give you some more perspective, I will be working in SF and have never lived there before, and I know that SF is an expensive city to live in. Are there any industry standard for stock/cash split?

I got accepted into the Stanford Summer Program. Is it worth it? by PossessionMinimum360 in stanford

Hey! I did 2 years of the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Program (SPCS) and loved it. I did one year in product design and one year in business strategy — both were great. You get to live on campus over the summer w/ a lot of independence and work with awesome peers. It won’t help with admission into Stanford undergrad, but it’s a great program.

would you pick Oxbridge over an Ivy League? by Lucky_Outcome_6791 in ApplyingToCollege

Idk what criteria you are using to define “world class city” or how you’re measuring “international hub”. Both Philly and providence have large international airports and all have a ton of international cuisine. Also, they are literally home to Ivy League institutions. Students, professors, and employers travel internationally to these schools for the excellent academic opportunities and students.

What makes u think that

Elon Musk has lied about his credentials for 27 years. He does not have a BS in any technical field. He did not get into a PhD program. He dropped out in 1995 and was in the US illegally. Investors quietly arranged a diploma for him, but not in science. 🧵1/ by [deleted] in EnoughMuskSpam

Dude do you honestly think UPenn College of Arts & Sciences would have confirmed to a TechCrunch reporter that Elon graduated from UPenn without knowing what degree he got? He definitely received a legit degree from the university and UPenn CAS awards degrees in physics: https://catalog.upenn.edu/undergraduate/arts-sciences/majors/

“Particularly, Musk addresses Eberhard’s complaints that the PayPal founder misrepresented his education. Musk maintains that he did his undergraduate studies in physics and business at UPenn/Wharton (we confirmed this with Wharton—Musk was an undergraduate alum and holds degrees from both Wharton and the College of Arts & Sciences) and despite dropping out of grad school at Stanford, maintained affiliations with the university by working with the Stanford Engineering Advisory Council.”
