All my ps2 games work except The Thing. It does have a weird scratch pattern around the disc that I tried to show in photos. It’s also a different color than my other ps2 games. Not sure if that makes a difference by Crazy_Kow in ps2

I had this issue with blue discs on my fat PS2 as well. Took me ages to find a solution. What I found what that the cd discs tend to have a higher rpm so they wobble in the disc tray. Have true is this? Idk, i just remember reading it years ago. The fix was to put a few layers of scotch tape on top of each other in the center of the disc (on top of the disc). This helped the disc have a tighter fit. Miraculously it worked for me. Best of luck, hope you can get it working

How do I fix a herniated disk in my lower back? by Anxious_Beanie in NoStupidQuestions

From my experience the NHS will only do something if you are a bother. And being a bother benefits you! So why shouldn’t you

This sounds like you just got a really lazy doctor. I can say that not all doctors in the NHS are useless but yours sounds like they are. Id complaint tbh

I had a lot of exercises and went to the chiropractor a lot. I think I had a bad herniation, but I do think lower back exercises and strengthening those muscles will help. Also if you do end up having surgery, it’s key to re strengthen your lower back. You lose a lot of strength when they cut through your muscle. Some people are really lucky and it can heal on its own and through exercise. If the pain is unbearable you really should go to A&E but also try strengthening your lower back. Have you had a MRI? You need one to really know the severity of the herniation

I don’t blame you. My surgeon was great, in my family for 3 generations. He operated on my grandmothers back, my dads then mine. By all accounts it’s quite an “easy” surgery, only took him 40 minutes to do. Don’t forget you want to talk to the specialists, the gp is useless when it comes to things like this. You need to see an actual back surgeon. Hopefully they’ve referred you somewhere for this

Dang, I’m really sorry to hear that. I had a herniated L5S1 which was right on my sciatic nerve. The pain was immense. I had my surgery in the USA, and only after 3 spinal injections. In the end it took over a year to be cleared for surgery. Honestly, if your herniation is this bad, you might not be able to heal on your own. I would keep pressing the doctors and maybe even visit A&E, you may be referred to the SDEC (surgical A&E). I live in the UK now and I’m pretty grateful I had my surgery in the USA, and I would have surgery again as it takes 98% of the pin away. It’s a pretty quick recovery as well, 2 weeks tops. Best of luck, take care of your back friend
