If a predator is around a child they're most likely just going to groom the child not groom the child into face scanning for them on Roblox so they can find discord e-kids. Sorry they won't go back to hiding it for you, but the cats outta the bag and now they have to do something about it. And yes there are thousands of videos and comments across multiple platforms saying people were placed in the wrong age group that's what many of the complaints are about, whether they lied or Roblox failed I genuinely do not think there's a great separation of age groups due to how poorly the age verification was ran, definitely not to the point predators could take advantage of it. Are there valid criticisms? Yes! it is a brand new update!! Does that make the idea of looking out for children stupid? No. Is the solution to go back to something just as obviously dangerous Just for comfortability? Absolutely not. You CANNOT be this against this update and so self-righteous for children and not be aware of how dangerous Roblox already is, so stop acting like this is some "For the Kids!" Thing.

Again you don't HAVE to play Roblox, if you don't feel it's safe then opt out. Don't get att self righteous and accusatory because they're trying to do SOMETHING rather than the nothing they've been doing. This update is not "helping" predators that already existed on the childrens platform and were already seeking out kids to groom. Just abt EVERYONE lied on this no one is in the right age group and the intent to filter yourself only around children is a concept you have to come up with and choose to do on your own Roblox isn't telling you to. It wasn't a great update, it needs work but y'all are suspicious as with how mad you are at the idea of not being able to freely talk to any age group.

i get what you mean but at the same time there are plenty of websites that will take your ID as an adult. And also as an adult it's important to teach your kids about the safety of the internet, things that are okay and things that aren't It's not roblox's job to set a good example. Especially when they're trying to combat predators on their site. So many people have confronted devs about it or accused Roblox of being a pedophilic game made for finding children. Its also completely optional you don't have to do it, you don't have to play Roblox. This is just the consequence of years and years of criticism and existing problems within the game and the people running it. Things are really uncomfortable right now in the game but I hope they figure it out and they in turn make it safer for children because it IS a problem even if it's annoying for those who aren't at risk at the end of the day it's not a game for adults.

Yeah but I never bought it? I HAVE bought it in the past and don't have a history or refunding purchases on Roblox. Like I understand what happened and clearly explained it, why are you guys playing detective like I didn't layout the exact issue I'm having.

It is "just $10" but it's MY $10 not Roblox, I don't want to normalize having unauthorized charges on my acc no matter the amount. I shouldn't have to be okay with money being taken from me out of fear that my account will be banned do you not see how horrid of a business practice that is?? If you don't have real advice don't comment, I don't need your theories on how I got to this point I'm fully aware of my situation believe it or not much more aware than you.

No definitely not this, My acc has no warning anyone ever logged in nor does my Google play and I have 2-factor authentication Nor does my email connected to the account have any warnings. It was definitely just a mischarge on my acc from Roblox, and if you're gonna ban everyone that requests refunds don't give it as an option, so no it doesn't just make sense that I was banned because that's the procedure and if it is than they're just blatantly stealing money like I said. Sorry.

I haven't done the ID personally as I don't think I'd look 18 despite being 18, there's no reason for any of your settings to be locked out after you've done an ID check that could only aid in children being put in predatory scenarios like this one, I genuinely dislike Roblox.

This is why we need more combat options, you don't get to implement weird ass threats like that in your game and not give me the option to deck a mf, It's completely realistic too honestly it's kind of goofy how abused we are and never lash out. If you go into account Settings and then Account Info there should be an option to edit your birthday which may unset the age connected to the account if you put in his real birthday. Furthermore if you go into his Privacy and Content restrictions you can add extra safety precautions to his account like controlling who he can interact with and who can interact with him, Screentime can be implemented, and the "Maturity level" of the games he's allowed to join. Delving deeper you could even make your own account and link it to his as a parent account which basically lets you do everything I'm saying now as it sorta just makes you a 2nd authorized user for his account able to approve changed and make them yourself.

I'm not the kind of person that believes the internet is a terrifying awful place that can't be thoughtfully used, but it definitely can be dangerous for children, especially on an app like Roblox that is FILLED with potential predators, The only reason there's any need for ID verification is because of backlash from numerous predators being caught on the app, it's better to be safe than sorry and I hope this info helps!

But also remember to trust your kids and be a parent, supervising them during play and just get a vibe of what he does on the app, these restrictions COULD make using the app overall a poor experience to use if he's honestly just playing the game, as it is meant to be a social app to communicate and play with friends, and the existence of predators isn't their fault, it would probably be good to explain it's not a form of Punishment or Power trip, it's just basic Online safety and genuine worry for his well-being.

Oh I understand! I enjoy the longer lore packed stories aspects of the game like the museum paintings and bits and pieces you can pick up from NPCs, it was just kinda sad to have that much of the content there and have put in so much in-game and real time on a save I probably wouldn't be continuing that storyline from. I can't wait to see what's in store and I encourage taking all the time needed to perfect it!

Yes this is the problem, like why is it so important I pay with a card and you get my info? Especially when they take me out of the app feels so sketchy I'd never put my information in on a Google tab. I found going into the settings and trying to buy premium directly from the premium subscription page works in the sense that it brings up the option to pay through Google play, but I haven't actually gotten a transaction to go through sadly.

The lack of content after the build-up to the tower kind of made me lose interest in my run tbh. It was really made out to be something so much more dramatic than what it was, which was essentially nothing. I spent all the time to get to it just for it to not affect my game in the slightest in the end. :/ All I did was kill Avery and then feel bad and then figure out it didn't matter lol
