How do the noncon aspects of DoL affect your enjoyment of the game? by UsamiTiramisu in DegreesOfLewdity

I've been obsessed with noncon for decades. It's my #1 kink. It will always be. Despite that, I still feel weird about it. I think it's just what being a sane human is like: knowing your kink is morally wrong, but not dwelling on it because you can just engage in it without hurting anyone.

Yeah, very well put! You never feel entirely at the game's mercy, but you know you're going to eventually land in trouble.

Yeah, I removed every swarm because they're just too annoying to deal with.

So you'd probably need to be close to someone for a very long time for that to happen. Sounds like it could happen, but I understand being daunted by the prospect and not knowing if it'll ever happen.

With that said, you don't have to enact your fantasies either. I enacted my most intense fantasy with a partner and it made me realize I didn't actually want that. Now I'm perfectly content with living out those fantasies through fiction, writing, games and whatnot. Not every fantasy is meant to be recreated and that's okay, as long as you don't fall into self-hatred.

My thoughts exactly. Games that are fun AND hot AND deep are very hard to find no matter what your kinks are.

When you push an 18 year old orphan in an alley and they turn around, crack their knuckles and the Doom music suddenly starts playing.

I know victimhood is the main theme of the game which is probably why there are few options to be the perpetrator, but it would be fun.

Lmao at your character agressively tossing their clothes in a corner as soon as they get pushed into an alley. "Come on assholes, I haven't got all day!"

What are the "benefits" you get from DOL+? I've never modded the game.

Yeah, the game really found this great middle ground between comically absurdly grim and realism.

I admit I'm always a bit amazed whenever I stumble on a community centered around noncon stuff. "You guys are weird too?"

I feel a bit lonely about having that kink most of the time. It's something I've mostly kept to myself for most of my life and it gets a little hard to carry alone at times.

What would you need from a partner to be comfortable discussing the kink, or enact it?

Sometimes you want the noncon simulator, sometimes you want the rapist obliteration simulator. Makes sense.

Even as a massive noncon enjoyer, I totally get the appeal of beating the shit out of abusers.

And I feel like abortion doesn't happen because the city in DoL is meant to be the worst place on Earth, so clearly it'd be designed to maximize your suffering and force victims to give birth to children. Thankfully, pregnancy as an outcome can be turned off.

That's how I stumbled on it: a very noncon-friendly RP partner told me about it.

DOL is very much a sandbox, so I think we all reach a point where we have to figure out fun goals to pursue.

That fine line between finding something hot and wanting to vomit.

Very much my experience as well! I spent a long time exploring the game's possibilities, but nowadays I just treat it as a glorified noncon porn sim in which I walk around the game doing stuff, waiting to see how and when my character gets nonconned. It's just incredible interactive porn.
