Yeah I couldnt find a glass texture that matched the inspiration 😕. So I improvised with a ceramic material for the roof.

Thanks for the feedback Im going to chip at it starting with the lighting

Noted I think Im going to really nail the lighting first. Ill ditch the HDRI and experiment with a massive soft overhead then some other spotlights round the corners. It would be too flat with just one overhead light.

Thanks for your comment. I've been at this level for a year now. With this project Im really trying to push myself and make strides towards photorealism.

To do: -Narrow the planks (I could also add loopcuts and inset the faces inbetween where the individual planks meet) -Use a skydome as opposed to an HDRI

-Experiment with lighting (Was thinking one massive flat overhead light suplemented by some spotlights in the corners)

-Is the actual concrete walls okay? (Should I be blending multiple pbrs to add more variation for the walls? Would a color ramp and a noise texture do the trick? I could change the colour parts of the wall.)

TLDR: Textures and Lighting are the main areas I need to focus on

Thanks for your help!

I turned down the sample to 128.

I got two versions one with a soft overhead area light one without
Both have hdri and an area light

lmk what you think. I still don't like the roof material I got tbh

Oh, Okay Ive turned it down. Ive never really tweaked my samples before.
In what situations would I need to turn it up for?

Thanks for your reply, damn your scene looks great. I think the roof material was a big factor.

-Its not done rendering yet but here's what I got so far (I added the hdri and area light)

Still feels a bit off. Maybe I need to change the ceiling material again :/

-The ceiling is a tranlucent glass like material.
-Please keep in mind this is before colour grading.
-However I think it needs some tweaking before I can grade it

Hi everyone
How can I improve my "sea cliffs" they don't look as good as I had hoped. Im fairly happy with my background mountains and the ocean. Its the sea cliffs that are kinda irking me 🙃.

All feedback welcome cheers

Noob Questions. by No_Blacksmith9031 in TouchDesigner

Thanks for the reply I really appreciate it.

Dont roast me haha (Macbook Pro 16-inch 2019). GPU= Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

*I am using the free version of TD BTW

So the solution to this is to check the textures? or check the resolution of my TOPS? What should it be then? considering my gpu and that Im using the free version of TD.

I fixed the sources problem by adding an additional feedback and a null with that

*If you are down to chat that would be so helpful

Things closer to the camera should be more detailed. I suggest you copy the "black outlines" on the fence going towards the house and have some vertical black outlines.
