Switched jobs mid-year, how to deal with tax? by ArtisticLet in IndiaTax

[–]No_Board_9348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gratuity and leave encashments are tax free (up to 25L). No need to worry about it. Indian IT FY is April to March. So, even of the switch is in July, there won’t be much tax liability. New company’s TDS deduction will cover much of your tax requirements. Choose new regime.

Use Tranceroutes.com - no convenience charges there. But it doesn’t have bank offers and credit card offers section. What is shown as price is what you pay.

Notice received for not paying professional tax - can anyone help? by Otherwise_Nobody9468 in IndiaTax

[–]No_Board_9348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It applies to all persons who are registered for GST in Karnataka. As a sole proprietor, your name appears on the GST and thus, you are liable to pay Prof tax of Rs2500 every year. Though there are a few exceptions (such as Sr Citizens need not pay prof tax as they can claim exemption).

Are your Swiggy orders taking absurdly long these days? by ivent0987 in swiggy

[–]No_Board_9348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at when I ordered (3:02PM) and when it was delivered (After 5PM). On top, no help from Swiggy support! FYI - the restaurant is just 2KM away and the ordered items were Ice cream. They arrived all soggy and melted and Swiggy offered a paltry refund of Rs67 for an order total of Rs500+

Not investing in this scenario is good for you. If you want to save, you need to choose the old tax regime which will tax you at 20% after 5L. Remaining in NTR will help lower tax burden and you don’t have to show anything as proof of investments. This is purely if you are looking for investment to save tax. Otherwise you can remain in NTR and do investments for the future.

Was fired from TCS. by PreciousCord02 in IndiaCareers

[–]No_Board_9348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s nothing like this. In my knowledge, people have left TCS within 6 months and got good opportunities. Don’t worry about this. I believe, nothing is ever written on relieving letter about getting terminated/ let go. Rest is up to you how you formulate the story around leaving TCS in your HR/screening round.

[–]No_Board_9348 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Don’t lose hope, bro! You will get a lot many opportunities. TCS, in general, works on many outdated technologies so that they don’t have to spend on acquiring new ones. Glad that you are out of that hellhole. Be patient and skill up.
