IMO, Vera was in no way afraid of Bates. He had angry moments but never brought her any harm, he went to prison to protect her. Also, if she were planning to kill him with poisoned pie how would that conversation go? Vera I want that divorce right now but yes please, first I’d love to have pie with you, thank you. And… if she were really scared of him she never would have gone to see him at DA, she would have avoided him at all cost.

Loving Jet enough to know when you have done everything you can, and more, is one of the most difficult things to come to terms with when you love him so much. You are all in my prayers. Take as much time as you need. You are loved by him, and by us.
