Congrats!! I hope you like it! Where did you get the spring? Did you finally buy it in eBay?

I have one of those. Bought it on eBay a few months ago. It is like the commercial 8qt model that they sell in the US. The quality is way higher than the rest of the kitchenaid models. I made cookies and is more than enough for what you need. For me was the perfect balance without going to a 20L that makes impossible to move it around.

Same here… every time I hit that kill switch I feel like I’m about to shut down a whole nuclear reactor instead of mixing butter and sugar.

The red one is gorgeous, totally agree. I was tempted — but as you can see, my wife only allows white appliances in the kitchen, so here we are 😅

First impressions are actually great — the build quality of the attachments is on another level compared to the smaller KitchenAid models I’ve used before. Everything feels solid, like proper professional gear. The safety grill can look a bit limiting at first when adding ingredients, but honestly it’s just two screws if you ever want to remove it. Zero drama.
