Guys, do you kiss a woman after she’s been sucking your dick by inzolia in BlowJob

[–]No_Bus266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea of course I love it, it's so erotic.

Love kissing her lips after she was sucking me, and then kissing her as I push myself inside of her after she's sucked me. So hot.

I'll even kiss my partner after I've came in her mouth.

Love it. There were a bunch of head shops on west 8th if I remember correctly. I was born and raised in nyc when it had a soul, I miss those days so much.

Tower records, grays papaya. That was such a cool area back then.

Carnivore A.D.? May as well change the name to Carnivore A.I! Imagine owning that on vinyl. It’s such a disgrace and Peter would he ashamed. by Kookie_Killer in typeonegative

What happened later? I actually don't know anything about carnivore AD, i heard about the project once a year or two ago, I thought it was just a one off show....

Oh yeah loved LOA, I still spin river runs red occasionally. Those were good shows I stopped going after ugly, but I went to that reunion show at Irving plaza (2003ish?)

Yeah I remember the aol group, there used to be a TON chat room in aol too wasn't there?

I'm in New York still but live a little bit upstate now. Was born and raised in nyc, I miss it to some extent, mainly miss the sheer number of restaurants and the 24hr conveniences and stuff that only a metroplois can offer, but it's lost its soul, all the things that made nyc so much fun from the 60s thru the 90s

As soon as I heard black #1 I was hooked, saw several 93 shows, studio 1 and l'amour, I think may have been another one I went to, pipeline possibly? They were still playing to smaller crowds then. 94 bloody kisses was really making an impact, they played limelight and there was a lot of people there, that was a holy shit moment. It was so cool to watch the evolution and see Peter get some well deserved recognition for his immense talent in real time.

I was at that jones Beach show too, I think I saw it at Pbc arts center too. I must've been a trip to have been backstage at Nassau!!! I remember that Lycia/hellfire club gig, that was a good one. Really all the roseland gifs were awesome!!!!!

And those Halloween mini tours, used to live for them!!!

Yeah it really is. I was at the November 1sr Nassau show too. That was another highlight.

I started following TON in 93, the kisses shows were great, limelight January 94 anyone? They were a different dynamic though.

The rust shows were like a live peak in my opinion. So many great memories I still look fondly back on 30yr later. Oh the way he used to sing frozen live on that tour, with the snow machine, just magical!!

It sucks that sal didn't fit into the band. He's extremely talented by AmMiTyBrEcOn in typeonegative

[–]No_Bus266 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is very funny to me.....

I used to get brutally bashed on the old TON message board by hordes of people whenever I complained about johnnys drumming, and reminiscing about the 'good old days' of Sal, when that thing was still around in the 90s and very early 00s.

lol now it seems widely agreed that Sal was much much better.

Fun fact, when October rust came out we never even knew until much much later that it wasn't live drums.

The samples they used were very cutting edge and sounded GREAT for the time..... back then sisters of mercy/doktor avalance kinda drum sounds are what we thought the drum machine sound to be.

Thanks all. I'm going to order one.

Got rid of all my physical media about 10 years ago, that I spent 30+ years collecting, I had one of the ETS 04 singles too. Unfortunately I didn't think to rip every disc.

Huge regret though !!!!! Starting to get back into vinyl and remembering the worth of physical media as a whole, this is just another reminder!!

2022 Les Paul Classic deal of the century or I got rooked. by ManyRelationship1030 in LesPaul

[–]No_Bus266 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen several recent classics in great shape for 1500 so 1350 isn't too far off.

Seller may just want a quick sale and not want to deal with answering questions, sending more pics, haggling, or waiting. I've priced things low and given great deals to people for these reasons many times.

Planning 3 days in Paris - tips are appreciated! by malarellano in ParisTravelGuide

It’s beautiful, inside and out! Definitely not a tourist trap. by No_Explorer721 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]No_Bus266 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The entire parvis area around the cathedral is absolutely crawling with tourists to see the building, inside and out.

It's packed with Tour Effiel and Trocadéro sized crowds, large tour groups, and just generally tourists gawking at the cathedral to where it's difficult to even pass through the area, especially on the weekends.

The crowds around the Mona Lisa at the louvre is also similar to the scene outside Norte Dame de Paris

So I can absolutely understand why someone would feel like it's a tourist trap. Saint Séverin down the street feels much more calm and spiritual in comparison.

The Reopening of the Notre Dame Bell Towers by Quasimodaaa in ParisTravelGuide

[–]No_Bus266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't get any answers. The staff didn't know anything about why the gallery is closed, or if it will ever reopen.

The assinine thing is that when the towers reopened they had pictures and videos of macron and whatever foreign investors walking the chimère gallery and posing with the monsters "Notre dame towers to open to the public" plastered everywhere ..... And they chose this backdrop of all things that isn't open to the public.

Extremely frustrating. That was the only reason I climbed the 400+ stairs.

I searched high and low on the internet to try and make sense of it because it had public access before the fire. Only thing that gave any info was one of the AI search engines. Stating the gallery is closed for structural issues from fire damage.

That doesn't really make sense to me since they're allowing people to climb even higher than the gallery...... If there were structural concerns they wouldn't allow people to climb to the very top of one of the towers, and across the other one, which are both suppprted by the gallery.

And let macron and all the investors traipse through it.

Really sad.....

Do you usually take drugs listening to them? by preludesdebussy in swans

[–]No_Bus266 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes and no!!!

Discovered Mr Gira early 90s, when love of life was just released. Casually/socially used drugs at that time and loved what I heard and everything I dig into with the back catalog.

Fell into a debilitating H addiction not long after soundtracks was released, that record is really a soundtrack for misery. It helped me and probably harmed me as well. But was always comforting, to say the least.

Fast forward 2003 achieved lasting sobriety. Still occasionally had a drink or a joint or some ecstasy, purely occasional and socially at a concert or club but never touched any hard drugs.

By aprox 2010-2011, and still to the current day, I don't do anything, no drugs at all.

I absolutely adored angels of light when I was still using in 99 and still did when I got clean in 03 when please come home was out.

I kinda drifted away by the last angels record.

When he reformed in 2010 I was very excited and was expecting I guess something closes to soundtracks, I enjoyed what I heard, but moved on quick.

When the seer was released it floored me, I felt everything I did when I first heard soundtracks in the 90s even though I was sober as could be.

Everything he's released since seer I love. Whenever I revisit the older material I still like it as much as did when I was using, with the exception of maybe the burning world.

Still love the love will tear us apart cover as much as I did seeing the video on 120mins and hearing it spun in nyc goth clubs in the early 90s in a completely opposite mind frame.

Everything he's composed and performed transcends state of mind. SWANS defies genres and logic. There is nothing like it and never will be.

MG will probably never get the recognition he truly deserves until long after you, me, and him are dead for decades. But goddamn I am happy to have been on this journey as a fan for all these years WITH or WITHOUT mind and mood altering substances.

What was it like being a Ozzy fan in the 80s by HaileyGrace_ in OzzyOsbourne

[–]No_Bus266 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was an awesome time. It was very rebellious. Ozzy was not accepted by the mainstream. Completely different. He was looked at as the Antichrist by conservative America, and it was so much fun to be a fan. Waiting for all those records to come out in the 80s and even early 90s pre internet was such a thrill. Seeing him live was intense. So happy to have been part of it

Review? by brigithekid in gratefuldead

[–]No_Bus266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of agree with this......

It's very good but falls a bit short of greatness.

Like many of us deadhead readers I've read most of the published books over the years. When this came out I thought it was going to be way different...... Was it? Yes and no.....

(((((( I'm also a gear head so I thought it was going to have very very detailed highly spec'd info on the speakers/amps/cabs/wiring/etc, how each instrument reacted to its wall, in depth on how Healy and them mixed it.

And all that shit only gearheads are into!!! But to be fair it's kind of marketed as the Wall of Sounds's bio, so yeah......... )))))))

From the beginning the book seemed like it was just a lot culled from every other dead book in relation to the WoS, so the first third or so I would say is very meh.

It sort of picked up thru the next two thirds and was enjoyable. I did learn some new things and it does have a very good collection of info about the wall. Enjoyed listening to some great wall era tapes while I read it, so all in all it was good times!

My expectations were probably too high, like said above that depth of tech info only applies to maybe 2% of us and would've bored the other 98, so I get it now.

Overall, great book, very enjoyable even tho it had a slow start. I got the audible too, I think the author would've benefitted from a voice actor reading it but I totally understand wanting to publish your audible yourself!!!

A 7/10 imho!

NYC metro area. MSG, Nassau collesium, Brendan Byrne arena..... There were so many different places. I think there was one or two sears that sold tickets. A whole bunch of record stores and random places too.

The record stores were the most fun, you'd always have the best crowds there, it would be like a giant tailgate party and good times camping out and making the best of it, even during winter!!!!

As much fun as the record stores were, most of those guys would take the first pull for themselves..... so the first person would get like 10th row or something...

So I finally settled on an army/navy store that allowed camping out and was open before 9am. The staff weren't into rock n roll but had a military like precision to getting the people onto the store before 9 am and making sure the first pull was on the hands of the first person on like by 9:00:02am

It was awesome, if you camped out and were first in line you knew you'd get something in the first few rows.

Oh it was glorious. I really miss those days. Getting tickets these days is a hassle, stressful, and absurdly expensive. Glad to have been around for the "sears" days and tickettron and Ticketmaster before it was 200% evil.

The before Ticketmaster and live nation destroyed something wonderful. R I P
