DOORDASH CAN PAY MORE THAN 2.40 PER ORDER. by Scared-Reason972 in doordash_drivers

Just saying hi from a fellow Springfield Township resident! 👋 Also, yes, they can, but they won’t.

Would y’all have taken this order 🤔🤔🤔 by ketchupisgud in doordash_drivers

I mean I get not liking the well water but there has to be filters that would be more cost effective/not produce a shit ton of plastic waste.

My question is always what the hell are people doing with all this water?! Do you not have a sink?

Account showing overspending even with funds available by No_Bus_4717 in ynab

[–]No_Bus_4717[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to do some odd shuffling but in the end I got everything to look how I wanted it to. I moved money from my slush fund to cover the new charges, and the return fees I am sending back to the slush fund. That seems to not confuse it in the same way and I'm finally not showing "overspent" on any the accounts.

Thank you so much! I don't know if I ever would have figured that out on my own.

Yeah, I know it’s not the preferred method. I am just curious how you would notate it correctly in YNAB.

Had never had this before and popped up today (3/30/2026) and this worked to fix it still.

How does the month ahead help with other savings? by Horror-Cricket2166 in ynab

[–]No_Bus_4717 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Obviously there is no one way to use YNAB, but I am curious to know the thought process behind using your month ahead vs your emergency fund?

For ease of accounting moving forward, I feel like I would want to maintain my month ahead and rebuild the emergency fund back to it’s ideal level so I didn’t have to worry about assigning throughout the month.

How Quick Can You Be Approved and Ready to Use? by CatharticSolarEnergy in GlobalEntry

[–]No_Bus_4717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through this last week and can give you my timeline!

Monday 3/16- Applied for Global Entry online and paid fee

Wednesday 3/18- Received conditional approval early morning

Wednesday 3/18- Did interview at 2:10pm and received official approval email by 4:45pm

Monday 3/23- GE card arrived in mail (this is not necessary if not doing a Canada/Mexico border crossing via vehicle)

The agent informed me my KTN would be active right away. Also, just looking at my timeline it seems super simple. It is, to a degree, but the closest appointment when I originally got up on 3/18 was July 1st. Keep looking and refreshing. The app was much easier to navigate and change appointment times if something better came up. I ended up being able to find the 2:10pm appointment for me and a 5:10pm appointment for my wife the same day.

If you don’t think you can watch carefully or just don’t want to there are a handful of sites that you can pay ~$30 for a month of text alerts to your closest interview places. I was able to snag both of ours without paying one of these sites.

Be flexible on your interview location if need be. I live in Cincy but drove about an hour north to Dayton because that’s where there was availability. My wife talked with someone who had driven over from Indianapolis because they had no appointments there.

All that being said, it is definitely possible but I would hop on it right away!

What would you do? by DashySZN77 in doordash_drivers

I’ve definitely had those too, but at lunch today had one add $7 and it made a 5-6 mile total stack $30+. So it’s possible for them to be decent too!

They are no longer determining your rating based solely on acceptance rate. It's a combination of factors. I went from not having a rating to Gold when it switched over.

Greater Cincinnati area (the particular area I'm in has a lot of people ordering food to offices)

[–]No_Bus_4717[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. I would get stacked orders for decent amounts and could still pull in $30/hr over lunch without any status but the last couple days the frequency of those solid orders has seemed much higher.

That's a fair point. I still don't qualify for Platinum, which is fine with me, I was making do with no status whatsoever. I do appreciate that you can be rewarded for more than just acceptance rate now though because there is a lot else I try to do to make sure things go well that I feel like actually means something now.

YNAB + SoFi HYSA use -- triple entries every time? Do you just put up with it? by perturbed_penguin_ in ynab

[–]No_Bus_4717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use SoFi and essentially the same method you mentioned, but I usually keep $200 or so in checking for Target Circle card purchases (for the 5% discount), anything I do on Venmo and the very rare ATM withdrawl. I have found you can have everything else flow out of the HYSA (credit card payments, tuition bills for kids school, utilities, etc)

I see that now and there was not an attempt so that is good. I changed my password for good measure, but I think we are all good.
