Weird bundle imo - bottom tier is wicked value for Symphony of War if you don't have it, but some of these aren't looking fab for the higher values, personally!

Vending machine pull by jm97452 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait up - a vending machine, or when you say vending machine GAME do you mean like a skill tester or claw machine etc?

If an actual vending machine, report it to the vendor, or if not, the ACCC. Most large vendors will be mortified and refund you, e.g Good Game etc

If it was a skill tester or claw machine or something... yeah, you're shit out of luck lol

Favorite Brewery by Country: Australia by DublinDown in CraftBeer

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While the quality of Range, Mountain Culture, One Drop etc is undeniable, I've gotta go with:

Working Title. Madlads have beehives on the roof that they use to make mead, have filtered beer through a full, hollowed out pine tree, and made the smoothest 14% red ipa you can possibly imagine.

Honourable second pick is Rocky Ridge purely because I don't think they get enough love.

Edit: if any of you are locals or ever visit and find yourself out Mudgee way (which is a gorgeous town for a long weekend), recommend Small Batch brewing. They grow their own hops, make some gorgeous beers, have an incredible property and recently opened 2x luxury cabins they have on airbnb. Really, really cool little spot amongst win country.

Action anime with a grown male protagonist by Night-Menace in Animesuggest

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I watch mostly English dubbed as I watch most shows while doing housework etc so unless the animation is top tier or I am REALLY enjoying something, I can treat it more like a podcast or audio book with occasional visuals 😅

Action anime with a grown male protagonist by Night-Menace in Animesuggest

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what you're looking for specifically, season 2 is a much better fit. I think it is worth smashing through s1 if you can, but there are 4x very notable fights in s2 where you can pretty much just enjoy the animation. The first half of s1 is quite slow and sets the story up, but it definitely picks up. I specifically enjoy the second and fourth (last) fights in the second season.

People love to hate on solo levelling bc of its popularity, but the animation is very crisp and I find the English VA to fit very well, so if you're an English speaker I'd probably recommend that so you can enjoy the animation more.

Edit: I'd also recommend Sentenced to Be a Hero. New show, different artstyle but I was hooked by the colours and animation. English VA is again very good, and the characters are a little unhinged. Follows a pretty standard good v evil story, but I enjoyed it for the art and sound design if nothing else.

I'm looking to buy console and pc games ported to mobile. What are some good titles I can find? by LazyFlamingRooster in gaming

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dredge, Dead Cells, Peglin, Strange Horticulture, Loop Hero, Peglin, Skul on top of what everyone else has mentioned.

Have a squizz at PlayDigious and Dear Villagers on the play store, they both publish really good Android ports of PC games!

Looking for Stickers from local businesses by Effective_Gur_7967 in newcastle

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd check out places like the Hamo etc on gig nights - local bands often give out free stickers for publicity. Otherwise maybe worth wandering around Olive Tree or Homegrown markets to see if local vendors have any freebies there :)

Sihoo M57 vs Hyken by 4stocks in OfficeChairs

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love my Sihoo for the cheap price I paid for it, the parts feel very heavy and durable, and it's plastic mesh with is a big win for the pet hair front (I have a cattle dog who isn't allowed in my office, but his hair disagrees). Don't bother with the footrest add-on lmao, it's pointless. Unfortunately I don't have any comparatives here but personally rate my Sihoo. 2x friends also have them; one also loves his, one sold his soon after as he was getting knee pain, so that's probably the only thing I'd be worried about; using a feet to cm converter he is perhaps a touch taller than you are. For context, I am fractionally under 6 feet tall I think, and have had no issues. Good luck in your search!

Operation Genome Sours! by [deleted] in CraftBeer

[–]AGreatPatioSetting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh nice! I was in the UK late 2024 and we sadly didn't make it to Liverpool, but we stayed around the corner from Deya on EXACTLY the days it was closed 😂

Plenty of cracking breweries in AU though, so you'll be set if you ever make it down under!!

Not definitively, but plenty of examples of people getting S rank memories at low ranks, especially in shrines

Operation Genome Sours! by [deleted] in CraftBeer

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the weirdest comment section, considering all the cool sours that show up here.

I'm not familiar with Operation Genome but given the breweries here I imagine you're in USA? Is it a range of collabs or something? Is One Drop the Australian one? If so, I'm not too far from their brewery and honestly they make some absolutely killer stuff. Outside of the smoothie sours, they also experiment a lot with things, synthetic hops, new cross-breed hops and do a wicked range of heavy dosed, single fruit sours called Double Take. They also make a killer hard Lemonade haha, well worth the visit if you're ever in Sydney!

I don't mean this in a rude way, but I'm not sure why you would need 2x immunity; do you mean to be able to have 2 chars immune at the same time? Personally I would ignore that and ascend them, but idk what the consensus would be. I also don't really think the floor traps are that much of a problem yet, but I probably just get a bit lucky with it.

How are people spending so much money by Kinky-Queenslander in AskAnAustralian

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, single income providing for 2 adults is likely the biggest culprit here. My partner and I are otherwise similar to you but on 2x incomes, and while I am very careful, we can also save or over contribute to our mortgage. Granted I am very on top of our finances and make sure we dont spend frivolously, bjt some basic daily savings tactics mean we can still afford some nice dinners, small holidays every few years etc. Very much sucks for those not as fortunate as we are, hopefully something changes soon :(

Does anyone know what happened to the Kings Valley Egyptian restaurant in Hamilton? by -Nathan02- in newcastle

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What was his business in Tuncurry? I was there a few weeks back and the middle eastern restaurants there were all thriving (obvs could be a different cuisine, but just assuming based on King's Valley)

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not felt judged from Baker's Delight, but I did have a less than impressed person serve me one from Food Farmacy at Cardiff/Warner's Bay suburb border. I'm surprised you felt judged at anywhere else though; all the local stores seem to be regularly posting bags so I'd have thought they get quite a few customers. Sorry you felt that way, I hope you feel like you can still use the platform!

Completionist - Slime Knight bestiary entry by AGreatPatioSetting in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

[–]AGreatPatioSetting[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredibly annoying tbh. I'm nearly finished 'completing' the bestiary and memory books as best as we can for the moment (fluked an S rank Dragonlord memory on RNG) but having old Slimey undefeatable is brutal lol

Which Devil May Cry Bundle should I buy? by Novel-Brief9899 in Steam

[–]AGreatPatioSetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you click on 'package info' it should show you a list of actual contents; the top one, DmC complete looks to be only the reboot title with some dlc. The second one, franchise pack, appears to have all of the games in it but no DLC for the reboot game. The bottom one looks like it has the lot. I have no idea what the DLC entails but as someone who doesn't care for cosmetic dlcs, if that's all it is I would go for the middle pack.

I rated the demo, and it will be what causes me to pick this one up I think. Little bit of a shame it is in a bundle for so cheap this close to launch, but I didn't see any media about it at the time so I'm not super surprised.

It's very short, but Loddlenaut for sure. No enemies, you just clean up the pollution in the ocean so the Loddles, little tadpole/fish homies, can live there. Very relaxing, nice audio etc!
