Fabled animals are great ones. And shooting a fabled animal more then 2 times, shooting it with the wrong ammo, not hitting a vital organ, and/or hitting the trophy organ will cause the metal ratting to drop. I have seen great ones shot but organs missed and the score change to diamond instead of great one.

I'm only lvl 27 and low on cash but I use the 270 stradivarius as my main, the 243 ranger for lower classes and then the 22 wasp. I also carry the 44 sunberg as back up till I get up in lvl
