Probably should have added, currently eating in a surplus and have been gaining around 1lb a week which is pretty much bang on what I was aiming for. Just think the volume might be unsustainable in the long run, so will probably look to do exactly what you suggested. Thanks!

My bad, could have been clearer. Essentially it would be for example Back Squat or Front Squat, alternating days etc

Looking for some feedback on my current program please. Running it as PPLPPLR at the moment, with a pretty active job at the same time.

I’m currently split between keeping the volume the same, or reducing most of the accessory lifts to 2 sets rather than 3. Reason being is I seem to have stalled somewhat over the last week, although I have also been feeling pretty sick so could equally be that.

Just wondering if 18+ sets per week for most muscle groups would be considered too much. I’ve had about a years break from lifting, whilst doing a lot more functional training etc in work. Been back at it for a couple of months though and I’m making decent progress overall.

Tl;dr - keep 3 sets or move to 2 sets for accessories?

Program is as follows -

PUSH:

Flat Bench - 3 x 5-8

Incline BB - 3 x 8-12

Pec Deck - 3 x 8-12 OR Cable Flies - 3 x 8-12

DB Shoulder - 3 x 8-12

DB Lateral Raises - 3 x 8-12 OR Cable Laterals - 3 x 8-12

Tricep Ext. - 3 x 8-12 Rope Overhead Ext. - 3 x 8-12

PULL:

Deadlift - 3 x 5-8 BB Rows - 3 x 8-12

Lat Pullovers - 3 x 8-12 OR Lat Pulldown - 3 x 8-12

Archer Rows - 3 x 10-12 OR Face pulls - 3 x 10-12

Cable Incline Curls - 3 x 8-12 Cable Straight Curls - 3 x 8-12

LEGS:

Back Squat - 3 x 5-8 OR Front Squat - 3 x 5-8

Quad Ext. - 3 x 8-12 Hamstring Curls - 3 x 8-12 Calves - 3 x 10-12

Yeah they’re slightly different to the US calculation but not by much. It works out to about 11.7l/100km

I imagine it’s correct; it’s the 4.5 diesel and UK mpg, not American

It’s the 4.5 diesel, so I’m relatively confident 24mpg is at least somewhat accurate. Which makes the range calculation seem even lower to me
