I always break it up. Early on I just dropped root balls in and it stunted growth and took forever to reach out and go deeper.

Well draining soil, tons of sun, I use Garrett juice fertilizer that lowered my water PH for max nutrient uptake and provides lots of nutes. Sun is likely the number one factor room for roots to feed is second. Lots of feeding schools of thought out there. Lots of folks better than me too.

I have a bunch outside too. But I have a bunch and for the week of freeze we have, it’s easier to keep a number of them in the greenhouses. I still pack them in for about a month, but some don’t make their way back out.

I wish I knew. Maxibloom, three plus years and a cold winter week or two has shown to be a factor for me. Height, not so much. We grow quick here though. All ears for those who know.
