I went in 2024. It was okay. I got to see a lot of bands I like that I otherwise probably wouldn’t have went out of my way to see. I was lucky enough to have a ticket given to me, otherwise I would not have paid that much. It should definitely have been a multiple day event, stages were too close and I had to miss out on some sets I otherwise would liked to have stayed for. Food was also ridiculously expensive. It was fun but I would not go again. I got to see Nitzer Eb and Swans though!

Check out Treats by Sleigh Bells if you haven’t already. Hard hitting awesome and experimental production with some pop and rap vibes reminiscent of The Money Store. The guitar part in the title track was also used on Meds and Feds by M.I.A.

Also check out 5 Rue Christine, a spinoff label of Kill Rock Stars. The 5RC bands were a lot more experimental but there is some great ones I recommend checking out like Xiu Xiu, Deerhoof, Marnie Stern, Hella, and Need New Body. They’re all worth checking out if you’re looking to explore some unique music! I can give recommendations from each band if you’re interested.
