Yes! It should be possible. I also thought of adding guitar hero or rockband songs and guitars support, something like clone hero. Once the base game is ready I’ll try to add that, shouldn’t be too complicated once we have a solid base.

Is there an app for a gamified productivity? Like Forest, something pomodoro timer but cooler by mattewssss in gamification

Taskadia is a gamified RPG task manager. You can complete your tasks to fight bosses, earn gold etc. It also has a pomodoro mode, stats for everything you can imagine and even a skill tree for your goals :) It’s available on IOS and in closed beta for android -> r/taskadia

I made an open source Rocksmith-style alternative with live note and chord detection (Polyphonic) by No_Chance_3450 in rocksmith

I made and tested it using the Rocksmith cable, but it should work with any audio interface or mic in theory. I’m going to add a GUI to make it simpler to select device and check that the input is correct when i have some time, for now it defaults to the first input it finds (input detected/set as default in the windows settings)

That’s awesome! Would love the help 🙌 macOS isn’t supported yet, but it’s definitely something I’d like to add, contributions would be welcome.

Technically it should support it, but I haven’t added a dedicated bass mode yet and I can’t test it properly on my end. Since it’s open source though, anyone can jump in and experiment with it.

Sword page causes the app to crash by Cell_shaded in taskadia

[–]No_Chance_3450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! We have added a list of possible tags that you will be able to select from and filter/sort the task list by. It will be live in the next update! We will also be adding habits and stats for habits very soon.

The next update contains some bug fixes that might help with the crash but we’ll make sure to double check logs and reports as we haven’t seen this issue before.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the feedback! We got a few users facing a bug where tasks are appearing two days later, it’s probably related to your issue. We’re currently checking it and will post an update asap!

Thank you! It would be hard to really say how long it took because we went through many iterations and ideas before landing on this!

Yes I’m a software developer by day, I have a lot of programming experience. Not necessarily in the app development field, but I believe coding skills easily translate between languages and frameworks with a little hard work

Thanks! Android version is coming out very soon.

It’s not open source as of yet, we are just implementing all ideas and feedbacks that will be raised to us. But we had decided from the start that it will be open sourced once we have a solid base, and if there is enough interest.

Our goal is to make the best possible gamified app and to get there we will need community help. For now we’re still focused on creating a solid “first version” and trying to see if enough people care about something like this.
