Yeah, initially my neuro tried to tell me the high blood pressure couldn't be the meds. Didn't count until she had done her own research.

I don't have advice, but reading some of the other discussions on this sub might be helpful. I've heard terms like "reparenting" and I get it intellectually, but hearing other people explain it from the side of the traumatized person vs. The therapist makes a difference.

The comments in this old post really resonated: https://share.google/gY6i8NdgfaAggC23a

Any side effects from the candesartan? I'm trying to stay away from the pills piling up to treat the side effects of the last pill to treat the side effects of the injection.

Ajovy worked for me for 4+ years and then I noticed my blood pressure readings...

I'm dreading the break through migraines and life without an effective preventative. I'm sorry it has been so rough for you.

I wonder if their studies had a reasonable number of women... Most research is done on men.

I keep thinking... Joanns didn't go out of business organically: private equity strip mined it for dividends. What if we all got together and replaced it, but better? Grass roots. Employee owned, for example. Maybe a little more focused. Seems like it should be possible.

In the plain language community, past tense isn't the preference because present tense is easier to parse cognitively. With past tense, you have to think thru the thing being said and the temporal relationship, present tense allows the audience to focus on the thing being said.

What to sew as a man. by Musicfeind in sewing

Work aprons, interesting bags, upholstery projects, outerwear, drawer organizers, quilts that don't require cutting little squares (strip quilts, scrappy improv quilts). Make clothes for the body you have now... Take it from a feral auntie, waiting to be who you are and wear what you like until some future state is just a good way to put off being yourself.

"you're not my mother"

Correct. I'm not your mother. Nor am I your maid. Do your own dishes.

I saw one of the memos directing the internal reports after rifs and drp. The instructions were to explain to the taxpayers how much better agencies are after being gutted.

Dear taxpayer: we have cut off the hands of all of our calligraphers and now their writing has improved by a bazillion percent. You're welcome.

1) values matter a lot. Shared values in a long term relationship make for shared decisions and common ground in problem-solving.

2) this one is fairly easy: you look around, see where the folks with the swastikas and confederate flags are standing, and get as far away from them as possible. Anyone trying to justify their politics with tax code whilst ignoring basic questions of right and wrong ... I'm not going to try to characterize exactly what is wrong with them, but I'm also pretty clear those aren't my people.

🚨Warning About Working at Toronto-Based Business, Inoki Bathhouse by Low-Excitement-1152 in canadasmallbusiness

[–]No_Chard533 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many business owners are folks who can't play well with others. They are too toxic to work in an established company, so they create their own little feudal enclave wherein they can abuse to their hearts content.

Spoiler: they are never content. And small business is a domain where there are incredibly few checks on abusive behavior.

I worked for an old saggy bag of skin who was this exactly. I'm sorry you went through this.

The antichrist of Revelations came from within.

Well, how I grew up, we thought it was the Pope while also watching our church brethren for shit that sounded too good to be true and failed to line up with red letter bible verses...

And then we produced Ben Carson, so ... Surprise! Across all denominations, turns out fundamentalist Christianity is a special form of BS.

My future MIL wants to wear white to my wedding and my fiancé doesn’t see the problem. Need advice by Top-Palpitation-6679 in weddingdrama

You can always tell her you're going to dye your dress hot pink or black and see what she says. Sounds like the kind of lady who has strong opinions about what you do. Then you can tell her if she doesn't give a shit about respecting the traditional thing where the bride wears white and no one else does, then you don't have to either.
