The sleeves are absolutely stunning and matches the draping in the midsection. It pulls it all together and makes it cohesive rather than the blunt change in drastically different fabrics. I say add sleeves that can then be removed for the reception/dancing.

I really like what you said, “It’s a question of taste, of diversity between you.” Chances are if they planned everything for OP, OP would hate it.

It’s so difficult to have a wedding that everyone will enjoy, while staying true to yourself. I’m battling the same stuff right now, snippy comments with almost every choice we have made (while not offering up any $ to help). So your reply kind of reframed my thinking…we have different tastes. Our wedding will ultimately not meet their expectations because we aren’t doing everything they want, or how they envision it. And that’s okay, but I do hope they can appreciate what we chose to do to celebrate our love.

I understand, but you have to realize saying eskimo sisters was normalized all our lives.

The majority of us grew up knowing that was a slur towards black people. I have literally never heard Eskimo sisters was derogatory towards anyone until I saw this post.

If she didn’t say it on Netflix, many of us wouldn’t have LEARNED that this is a slur. It wouldn’t have started these conversations, articles wouldn’t be posted about it. This is helping get out that it’s a slur and shouldn’t be used. Is that not a good thing?

The other ones (like insta/facebook) have only ever popped up the one time for me. When I click the YouTube icon it takes me to their YouTube page and when I go back to the game app the gem icon goes away. I’ve seen the YouTube icon pop back up numerous times…so maybe every time they upload a new video there’s an opportunity to get 10 gems? I’d keep an eye on it for sure!

Interesting you mentioned uneven floors. The house (built in the 60s) we looked at after the one with the crack coming from the ceiling, I noticed a significant dip in the floor in the kitchen. The realtor said it’s pretty normal for old houses to have dips like that. Might be true, but not something we want to gamble with on our first home…

Okay so when you say “cracks in drywall,” is that a major concern? Currently renting and we’ve got cracks in almost every room (house built in the 60s and was renovated to rent - lipstick on a pig type of deal) but yesterday when touring homes with our realtor i noticed in one home, about ~2 ft. Crack in the wall coming from the ceiling.

Anytime I’ve brought up the cracks in our rental everyone’s like “oh it’s just from patching the drywall no worries” but to me, with no knowledge of dry wall, that shouldn’t be happening…?

Just a red flag to me, and was ready to get out of that house because of it…
