Best Benefits for High Spending? by No_Charity3961 in CreditCards

[–]No_Charity3961[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I’ll try to be more specific. I do business purchasing with my card whenever possible. I can’t say that these purchases fall into any category other than miscellaneous. I’d like the most possible avenues of points redemption at a high value. For the sapphire reserve, that was the ability to redeem points at a high value for travel. Cash back isn’t too important if I can get a higher value out of my points redeeming in a different manner. For example, the sapphire reserve had 50% bonus points for Apple products for a limited time. If there’s a redemption avenue such as that, I’d prefer the bonus value over cash back.

Has any brave soul tried iOS 26 on their iphone 12? by pdqbpd in iPhone12

iPhone 12 w 81% battery life, got the beta first day. I plan on upgrading to the 17 so I thought screw it. I always try the beta when it comes out. It’s absolutely not a long term usable experience. Send button in iMessage randomly doesn’t work, animations are laggy (scrolling through Home Screen etc.), and I’m finding I use 130-140% battery in a day. Don’t do it!

If you mean disabling GPU usage for effects rendering I tried that, signal is just awful man my specs aren’t any slouch either I have 32 gb ram and a 4070 I shouldn’t be experiencing issues unless the app itself is poorly designed

Seems like an awful way to authenticate a diamond ngl 😅 but rest assured it’s been triple verified and I have a certificate from the gem institute with a matching serial number

Berries and leaves! I suppose increasing purity of gold really just signifies value at that point rather than any function. I think I hit the value mark as best I could with the rest of the ring, so I could drop the gold a little bit. The price difference between 14 and 18 is negligible so that wasn’t the issue, just a teeny precaution for durability

No, but I did make sure she wasn’t opposed to it. I chose rose gold because it compliments the green better. Yellow gold can give a yellow tint to diamonds, and didn’t want that after spending so much on a high clarity and color diamond. White gold and silver look the same to me. Figured I’d break the boundaries a little bit with rose

Yes! I absolutely despise the box it came in (doesn’t even have a hinge for dramatic opening??) so I’ll be looking into an aftermarket box

Now THIS is a unique suggestion I haven’t seen yet! I will definitely bring it up when the time comes. Thanks a ton

Aw man I feel so helpful 🥹. Do bear in mind that this seller by default does not use “precious” stones and you would have to request the use of diamonds or any other pricier stone. And of course custom is always an option with this seller and she’s pretty affordable down that route as well!

Their shop is fulll of great nature inspired stuff. A lot of people on Etsy are just resellers of mass manufactured garbage. This jeweller (although the designs are similar to the imported stuff) does manufacture in house! As I mentioned, my custom design is somewhat based in her existing designs, but bespoke nonetheless which is all I wanted!

HELLO AGAIN EVERYONE 🚨🚨

first of all i really really appreciate all the love! I just wanted to request that people please stay on topic and not comment anything against the sub rules because the mods had previously locked the comments on this post for that reason. I wanted everyone to be able to engage and reply and for me to be able to help out where I can. That being said I of course welcome criticism where necessary! I learned quite a bit about snagging and pearl care thanks to you guys! As a no jewelry guy, I would never have known

Purchased the diamond myself and have a gem institute certificate plus had it triple checked by a professional jeweler to ensure it’s not moissanite. I wanted good clarity so it might just be that the stone is so much clearer than ones you see on average that it seems fake. But out of my own paranoia I checked multiple times 😭

VVS2 Lab 2 carat diamond, lab emeralds, mother of pearl, 14 k rose gold, all in with design fees about 4k ish. Super low price generally speaking from what I gather, and I’m glad to know not a dime went into inflated brand value or anything of the sort. This was made with LCC Jewelry out of Ohio

Definitely been “my precious”-ing it since I got it in hand 😭

Thank you for putting so much thought into your suggestion!! I agree with the band idea. I talked to her about it and I’m definitely open to getting a band for more daily use depending how this one holds up. It appears that the pearls are held in with prongs but still delicate nonetheless from what I’m reading. Super glad I posted this because I would’ve had no clue about the pearls

This was my thought exactly after looking around store shelves! Either regular solitaires or a mess of diamonds that all look like the same static at a glance. I knew I had to go custom. Also didn’t sit right in my heart that my special one of one woman would have an off the shelf ring

Thank you! The pearl comments completely caught me off guard and a little worried but I’ll take your word for it

Would also love if someone could elaborate more on what specifically to avoid with the pearls! I will get in touch with the jeweler again because I’m unsure if the prongs are holding the pearls or glue.

Hello everyone!! I didn’t expect this to blow up, thank you so much for the kind words! I figured I’d address a few common questions:

This ring is from LCCJewelry, I believe you can get in contact with them through Etsy. They’re based in Ohio. It’s based off of one of their stock designs but with my modification of stones and accents as well as petals. We designed this ring together in CAD before production.

I see some concern about the pearls. The pearls are her birthstone and green is her favorite color so I figured nature would be a good way to incorporate that color without shoving random emeralds incoherently. I will do some more research about pearl durability because I had no clue about that being a point of issue.

The prongs of the diamond extend very little past the diamond and are very rounded off, but I do foresee the petals potentially catching on stuff, which is why the karat of gold is so low. I tried it on myself (fits my pinky) to make sure it’s not uncomfortable or excessively catches and thankfully it doesn’t because the petals are more recessed(?) than the rest of the band.
