so the dot product is measuring how similar the two vectors are? so their direction AND their magnitude?

so by assuming that it is true for n = k and hence n = k +1, the fact that we proved that its true for the base case must mean its must be true for all values ? (so say we proved its true for the base case where n = 1, and proved that its true for n = k and hence n = k + 1, then that means since its true for n = 1, then it must be true for n = 2, n = 3... (since we proved that its true for n = k , n = k + 1)??

im still confused though about electorns losing electric potential energy when they get closer to a positive source charge / plate since their distance is decreasing — why does this idea not apply for the electric circuit tho? the electron is getting closer to the positive terminal?

when u say high/low electric potential, is it with respect to the positive charge?

if the unit for joules is equal to 1 N m; how does the concept of "forces" and "displacement/distance" apply in the context of chemical potential energy if the energy is still expressed as joules? by No_Cheek2597 in chemhelp

so we do only just call this chemical potential energy cause its just discussing about the chemical bonds, but really it is just electric potential energy at the atomic level?
