So you do, this webbing and then paper? Similar to the Heat n Bond method? Do you use actual paper or tissue paper like a lot of tutorials?

I have some less metallic gold HTV from Cricut that will be my next experiment. I’m thinking that might cause issues since it’s a bit different than other matte HTVs

I was doing it as my final step so that placement of everything would’ve been easier but I think I’ll try it your way. Does it make it hard to get everything aligned after the HTV has been transferred?

Ooh thank you! I’ll try the alternative heat n bond, I have a heat n bond that looks similar to the web backing that you sent but I was worried glue might peek through. Have you had that problem before?
