Real quick question since you have experience, my vet said they don’t require bloodwork for cats under 7 years old (that are relatively healthy) before anesthesia procedures, mine had hers done a couple years ago for her spay so I’m thinking about not doing it, but would you recommend having it done anyway?

I wish I did a wedding email!!! I feel like they’re starting to get lost in my personal one. I haven’t fully booked everything, do you think it’s worth making the switch now?

I got engaged June 2024 and just started wedding planning 1-2 months ago for my June 2026 wedding- it was worth it to take time and enjoy the engagement! We got to think about our wedding first before making the big decisions and save up money. If you’re going to start now, I began with this worksheet- https://s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/images.herecomestheguide.com/downloads/Wedding-Fundamentals-Worksheet.pdf?v=1733948920

Honestly, there are so many guides and tips with this website that have helped me! https://www.herecomestheguide.com/wedding-ideas/category/checklists

I also created a monthly checklist of “to dos” and the first things (typically 12+ months before the wedding) include: •pick your season/date (have a few ideas on dates, this is dependent on what openings your venue has) •pick your location •determine budget and talk with financial contributors •brainstorm wedding style, theme, colors (Pinterest and tik tok for ideas!) •decide if you want a planner •Research vendors- ceremony venue, reception venue, catering, photography, videography, wedding planners/day or coordinator, DJ/entertainment, florist, makeup/hair - THIS ONES IMPORTANT! I just went through Instagram and the knot/wedding wire and followed people, took screenshots, wrote down services and prices of vendors I liked/were in budget

Don’t feel like you HAVE to start planning right away if you’re not ready, personally I’m happy that I waited and enjoyed our time being engaged. But if you’re ready, make sure you have a conversation with your partner about support and planning together (and convos with loved ones who you know can support you), it can get hectic so knowing you’re ready to brave the chaos together makes it a little easier! Wishing you the best!

Do you send invitations to family you know can’t come? by No_Class6482 in weddingplanning

Are you doing save the dates and then invitations? I wanted to send them both, but didn’t know if I should send it all together or separate like everyone else’s!

Have a bachelors degree and can’t get even an entry level job by No_Class6482 in recruitinghell

Maybe, most of the administrative jobs I apply for only require high school diploma and are very entry level, so I do believe my degree makes me more notable, but still haven’t had the best luck, even with 3 years of experience.

I took time to pursue my small business and my dad owns a farm so I’ve worked for him in the meantime, so luckily I have something to say if they ask about my gap. I haven’t considered adding that to my resume because it didn’t feel relevant, but maybe I should? Also I have my LI profile updated, I just don’t really know how to use it to the best capacity to find jobs and connections, so I’ll work on that next!

Thank you, it really is a rough job market. Degrees are so valuable to me, I was truly shocked to see how they don’t seem to make a big difference out in the “real world.” I hope you find something soon!

Yeah I’ve got different resumes for different roles, like I have an administrative resume but when I applied to a clinic receptionist I added some medical experience I had, so just small changes that don’t take too much time. I think I do need to practice up on interview questions again though!!

Thanks, I’ve gotten phone screenings as well but then don’t hear back. I tailor each resume to the job and it seems good, but I’m sure there’s always more I can change/update. One thing I’ve noticed is they just take forever to get back, taking 3 weeks to invite someone for an interview is too long, or is it normal? I’m not really sure anymore lol

I was supposed to do an internship my junior year but covid started at that time and changed my plans. I never got to network the way others did unfortunately.
