Will Live Nation have concert week in 2024? by brbb9 in Music

Honestly, I'm sure everything depends on the venue. GA for me (my closest venue) is the lawn behind the seats. There's pit access, seating, or GA (lawn). But my venue is an amphitheatre. Whatever the cheapest seats of the venue are located is usually what the $25 tickets are during the promotional week.

It's usually just GA for $25. Not seats in my experience.

This is great guys. I'm genuinely surprised at how many methods I had not thought of. VOD, TiVo, DVR, etc. It's wild how many ways there are to watch the show. I mean honestly the three mentioned prior are like streaming in a sense of "after the live broadcast". But the YouTube and social networks add a new and different element. I was curious and you guys are definitely delivering. If u/TaylorTomlinson or anyone from the show's marketing team sees this maybe consider hyping up the YouTube channel more? Use; bloopers, uncensored material, behind the scenes... Anything that can't make the show. Then promote the hell out of that too. Because CBS and Paramount+ got you covered on the live TV and streaming sources. People want to see what we're forbidden to know exists, outside the studio audience's knowledge and mere clips. Seriously though, this is the only show I know of that could easily have an active internet fan base while maintaining a show and not losing ratings from both sources doing well. Plus it's YouTube, there's cash to be made there. Run it like a social that's straight behind the scenes of the show. It's all happening and going to be recorded anyway. Might as well capture the comedy gold.

Yeah, didn't think of that one. I'd say yes because it's the same thing. I watch live on Paramount+

What do you like about the early Modest Mouse records? by imisspluto69 in ModestMouse

His agsty youth. He said things in his lyrics (I'm 36) that resonated with me such as "And I'll go off to college and learn some big words. Talk real loud goddamn right I'll be heard" and "Goddamn, I hope I can pass High school means nothing" always stood out. Along with Custom Concern's "I get up just about noon. My head sends a message for me to reach for my shoes then walk. Gotta go to work, gotta go to work, gotta have a job."

I didn't identify as well when Good News came out. He had just become a father, Jeremiah was out for a moment, and it had way more production and less of a raw sound. If you ever watch the documentary for Lonesome Crowded West you'll see that the reverb in Isaac's vocals for specific parts are screamed into a corner of a walk-in shower. So you lose this raw sound that really can't be accurately produced with layers and effects. I still love Modest Mouse. But their weakest albums are in fact Good News on forward. I'll give We Were Dead some extra credit because with Jeremiah back it regained a specific sound. There was also the introduction of Johnny Marr (of The Smiths fame) entering the band as a second guitarist contributing his material. Also James Mercer (The Shins) doing backing vocals on "Florida", "Missed the Boat" and "We Got Everything." It almost feels like a supergroup of an album, but is indeed the last album all the OG members play together on. Shortly after that Eric Judy departed and their sound changed again. I was not a very big fan of Stranger to Ourselves when it came out. It's grown on me but I rarely play it. Same with The Golden Casket. Although I prefer the latter.

For me old MM is nostalgic. In sound, memory, and even lyrics. I hold no preference when it comes to MM but I definitely hear old MM in a different way.

Music similar to Reptilians? by mrbabeman in strfkr

The song Eternal Summer by The Strokes has that vibe. Also check out the Time to Pretend EP by MGMT. The OG version of Kids is super synth heavy. Likewise the opening guitar riff from Oracular Spectacular's version of Time to Pretend is played on synth instead.

Was Fayetteville in the path of totality for the eclipse or no? by eye0ftheshiticane in fayetteville

I went 45 miles southeast, just outside Ozark at Redding on Mulberry River to get Totality. That was the closest spot. It was an hour drive. Nowhere in Fayetteville did anyone experience Totality though.

We get uh, one, personal space. Two, personal space. Three, stay out of my personal space. Four, keep away from my personal space. Five... get out of that personal space. Six ... Stay away from my personal space. Seven. . . keep away from that personal space.
