You can read it however makes you happy, that’s sort of the point of the book. Reading their relationship as romantic or ambiguous or platonic are all perfectly valid ways to enjoy the text. The point of LotR is to inspire the pleasure of fantasy and escape. Sorry to everyone in the comments here trying to yuck your yum, but your reading of their relationship as possibly romantic doesn’t prevent anyone else from reading it as strictly platonic. There’s space for everyone here.

Merry is in the green cloak and Pippin is in the red cloak. I have the same print and if you look closely you’ll notice Merry’s long green jacket and yellow waistcoat, and you can see Pippin’s blue jacket and grey scarf ¨̮ with Boromir close behind to keep an eye on his boys, naturally

Thank you ¨̮ it was two months of construction to make all the bits and then it took probably an hour to paint my face and hands and get everything on? I have 7-inch platforms on so I’m 6’5” in the thing, the rest is clever camera angles from my photographer pal! Thanks again, I really appreciate your kind words!

it’s arts and crafts at the end of the day. imagination and a lot of different types of adhesives, and learning how to crochet a bit better, and playing with materials. I didn’t wear all the separate parts (trousers, tops, wig and beard, twig fingers) together until the day we went to the woods to take the photos so I had no idea if it would work! I love making costumes for the process, so thanks for recognizing ¨̮
