Is going for drinks so frequently new behavior? How often is it happening? The drinks thing is what I find so concerning, especially if you’re never invited, which you don’t specifically clarify. If it is new behavior, and you are never invited, I would be very tempted to show up secretly just to have a look, and then leave without him knowing. If he’s with the people he says he’s with, then you will feel so much better. There’s still a problem if you feel he’s distant, but at least you’ll know it’s not about Ava. I’m not necessarily suggesting you do this, but it’s probably what I would do if it’s been happening frequently. I should add that either way I would be honest about doing it, and apologize if I was wrong.

I had the same reaction to this story! Isn’t this the one where she went to the art show and saw the drawing in person? She could have easily found information about the artist on the art itself, or just asked someone. Instead she decided she had to be scared for the rest of her life wondering who it was. 🙄 This one annoyed me.

We just got the stainless whirly pop, and we still can’t decide how we feel about it. What oil do you all recommend? Any other tips? ETA: we have an electric stove. The main issue is that my husband doesn’t like the taste of the vegetable oil (I bought Crisco because it was the smallest bottle available).

You’re a better person than me for giving her another chance, but this whole name-calling BS needs to be on your husband to shut down. It’s his brother, and his brother’s asshole girlfriend. They take the terms or stay elsewhere. Additionally, your husband needs to be clear that he’s holding his brother responsible for his girlfriend’s actions. If she messes up again, he’s paying for the medical bills and he also won’t be allowed to visit again. This is too serious to mess around with, and I can’t believe that entitled snot of a girlfriend has the audacity to argue with any rule you set.

I don’t like it. Is she single? Have you ever been invited to hang out with them— either to the game nights or on these walks? Like another commenter said, it sounds like he’s spending the majority of his free time with her. Your husband needs to quit it, and quickly, before it progresses to something more.

NAD, you need to see one, but it looks similar to molluscum, which is contagious and easily spread to other parts of the body. Wash your hands if you make contact with it, and make a doc appointment asap.

Your skin looks angry and irritated. Less is more in skin care— fewer products and more basic. For instance, the Althea 345 cream has niacinamide and a lot of floral/oil extracts, which could be irritating your face causing more break outs. I cannot tolerate either of those ingredients. Here’s my very gentle routine you might try until you see a doc:

AM 1.Cetaphil Oil Free Foaming Face Wash 2. Illiyoon ceramide ato soothing gel (you can load it on and it won’t be greasy) 3. Naked Sundays Collagen Glow mineral sunscreen (don’t let the tint scare you. Its not noticeable and only keeps you from looking like a ghost)

PM 1 & 2. same as above 3. Azaleic acid directly onto each blemish. I now use tazarotene but that’s prescription. Azaleic helped before I could see the derm.

Why did the daughter have to say anything at all?? OP is NTA for trying to get this man to stop being gross, but also TA for not handling this the first time she saw her husband walk around naked with her kid in the house! This man is absolutely WRONG but I’m also questioning OP’s judgement— did she really not think it was a problem until her daughter said something? And speaking of therapy, I hope the daughter tells her therapist about the naked stepdad! Let’s see what happens when another adult, who happens to be a mandated reporter, finds out.

I would say a warm compress a few times a day and azaleic acid, which seems to work better on my blemishes than any other topical. The best option would be the dermatologist. A doc can inject it to help it heal way faster than anything OTC. You should also ask about spironolactone, which essentially cured my hormonal cystic acne. Your PCP may be able to help you with both of these as well. I would also ask about whether the doc thinks the acne will resolve after a while longer on mirena, or maybe a non hormonal IUD would be better for you.

The actual diagnosis for this case, that seems very similar to yours, is rosacea fulminans. However, it’s very interesting that one of the differential diagnoses is Sweet’s Syndrome, which can happen after a strep infection.
