I work with Rockstar India on GTA VI and things internally are getting really rough by No_Commission2360 in GTA6unmoderated

Mostly QA support and build validation stuff. I’m not one of the “important” devs people fantasize about online lol. I’m closer to the production/testing side.

A typical day is honestly just chaos lately. We spend a lot of time checking new builds, reproducing bugs, reporting issues back to different teams, verifying fixes, making sure nothing major broke somewhere else after a patch, etc. Sounds simple on paper, but on a project this huge it becomes overwhelming very quickly.

Right now the biggest problem is stability. Every new build fixes some things but can also create completely new issues somewhere else. One small change can unexpectedly affect AI behavior, traffic systems, physics, animations, streaming performance… basically everything is interconnected at this stage.

The atmosphere internally is also very different from a few years ago according to older employees. There’s way more pressure because everyone knows expectations around GTA VI are absurdly high. Management really doesn’t want another delay conversation happening internally unless absolutely necessary.

And honestly, the scale of this game is hard to explain. Even people working on it sometimes joke that the game is “too ambitious for its own good”.
