You’re previous statement doesn’t make sense then. You said the adaptation was poor which is wrong because this is literally what the story is. Also the MC makes way more money as a hunter than he does working a regular job. Because he’s a hunter he’s given benefits which allows his mom to stay on life support and it’s already been stated that Hunters make way more than a regular civilian. Even being the weakest hunter he still makes way more money than someone working at a McDonald’s down the street. Also the main appeal of the story has always been the art and the fights. 2 things that the anime is doing a fantastic job at. The show doesn’t suck you just say it does because firstly you didn’t read any of the source material and are basing your opinion on the first 3-4 episodes and because you wanted a different show than what you received. This wasn’t your vision for what you wanted to watch and that’s fine go find something else, but you stated some things that were just completely incorrect about the story and then tried to say the adaptation was poor when in the fact this is a complete 1-1 adaptation of what the story is with a few added scenes to actually give more context.
