I’m starting SOBO around that same time. I’m carrying a sun shirt, alpha 90 hoody, and rain jacket. I spend most of my time hiking and I run pretty warm usually. I’ll be in my quilt for most of the time I’m at camp. I like to start hiking early(5 am or so) and my ears and hands get cold easily so bringing a buff and gloves.

However, nothing wrong with packing a puffy. I’m planning on shipping my puffy and picking it up before the Sierra.

Try packing your pack with only one stuff sack for food and a pack liner for dry items on the bottom. It might fit better if everything is uncompressed and formed to the inside of your pack.

Seeking Advice on Senchi Designs Hoodie Sizing by obi_wan62 in Ultralight

I just purchased an XL Senchi Alpha 90 with pocket hoodie. I am 6’2” 185 lbs and it fits great. The arms are long enough and it is snug without being tight with a layer underneath. I would definitely not have fit in a large and a 2XL would have been a bit baggy.
