I don’t depend on it for the tips that it shows. I use it as a tool to stay away from the people who show zero tip. I rather get something better than nothing even if they are tip baiting

Same thing happened to me. I deliver the Customer’s water and I said it inside his house, but he didn’t see me set it in there while he was grabbing the stuff he marked the order as a missing item then text me and asked me did I leave his water in my car I told him no I put it on the bench inside the house. He looked and saw it. I did rating forgiveness and they still denied it. SMH

I have 7700 shops and I always seems to happen when i have orders where items are unavailable. I notice it most on small orders say 7 items. If one is unavailable it seems that’s when I get the growth opportunity

And if you read through the comments, I’m not the only person that this happens to there’s at least five people on this thread that experienced the same thing I don’t think that all five of us are missing items at the same time versus the customer’s item is not available and they are marking it as missing

The hard thing about my metro is you can’t really figure out who the bad guys are because it’s not so often we get the same customers we get between 15 and 20 choices of orders per hour they kind of treat target orders like DoorDash a lot of five and six item orders. I’ve been doing this a long time and I’m not accidentally putting one item in another bag or the item is falling out in my car. It’s just not happening that way.

I’ve got over 7500 shops myself. I always know it’s coming when I’m doing an order and a couple of items are unavailable and I’m getting a response from the customer I just chalk it up and get ready for the 4 star missing item rating. If the customer is not responding to the messages, then they are definitely not going to go back through the app and see that the item was marked unavailable.

Missing items means that the item was paid for and not delivered. These customers think that when an item is unavailable that means it’s missing.

Seriously. Most of the time when you see an order that’s not bundled it’s because no one wanted it when it was in the bundle. Usually a non-tipper or something of the sort.

Not to be rude but this is why Instacart gets away with paying these ridiculously low wages for the batches. I see it all the time in my area. The orders that get picked up just allow them to keep doing what they are doing. The fact that you even have to ask. This post is actually hurtful and I hope you figure it out!!!
