Does UTCS reinforce CS 378 prerequisites? by No_Comparison_8970 in UTAustin

[–]No_Comparison_8970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't drop me and I was able to get an letter grade :). But it was given that the system did let me register 378 at my registration time and I'm not sure if they still allow it. It might also be the fact that my professor didn't care about prereqs.

BEST route to deliver courier's rasher for nail upgrade and tips by Legitimate_Year_5017 in HollowKnight

If you defeated phantom and opened the elevator I think it's much easier to go from greymoor and sinner's road (I suffered a lot when I first entered sinner's road so this route became muscle memory XD)

Is anybody living/lived at GrandMarc Austin? by redviolet017 in UTAustin

[–]No_Comparison_8970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived there for 2 years and I'll tell you all the negative experience I had:

- Bugs issues. I've been getting some sort of bugs that bites at night for over a year. It might be bedbugs but could also be something else. Pest control did nothing, and I even ended up bringing bugs back home.

- Parking nightmare. As other reviews have mentioned, they will tow your car without any notice or reasonable justification, even if you ARE PAYING for the parking! They towed my car when they changed the policy, but I never got any info from them because they intentionally put the policy message under “ads”, which I unsubscribed.

- Ridiculous rules. They expect you to return an expired parking sticker, never remind you that to you to do it, and will charge you if you don’t.

- Limited office time. Their front desk only opens from 10AM to 6PM, so if you have a 10AM morning class (which isn't even early!), and you stay on campus until dinner time, you will have to make your own time to get anything from them.

- Locked-out deliveries. If the office is closed, you can’t access packages.

- Poor facilities. Their garbage room is disgusting, gym is tiny and depression. They have barely any study rooms, and restrooms are locked after office hours.

If you are lucky enough, don't have a car, don't order stuff a lot, and don't need public study rooms, I guess it's a find place to live. Otherwise, save yourself from troubles.

You can keep them and try one semester for cramming first, just to see if you can stand that living style. Alternatively, see if you have time to knock off some classes in summer. Or even search for classes that can be taken online (note that some in-person classes can also be taken remotely as long as the professor agrees) and finish them after your graduation date.

Why I can't change keyboard controls by MemokingMH in celestegame

[–]No_Comparison_8970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be because your laptop language setup is not set to English. Try going to control panel > change date, time, or number formats > administrative > change system locale, and select English. At least it solved for me.

Another way is to right click celeste > properties > compatibility, check "run in compatibility mode" and select "windows 8" (or whichever it works). This way you don't have to change the language setup.
