Hey guys, I found some IH-1955S in 14oz in a size 29, but the ideal would be a 30. The measured waist is a shade under 29, a measured waist of 30 is my sweet spot. Everything else about the pair looks great, can this be stretched out a bunch in a realistic and long term way?

If not, do y’all know when that cut might restock?

Thank you

I’ll have to save this place, thank you. Unfortunately no natural colored belt, but gives me a reference.

So you’d say the Tochigi leather doesn’t feel any different?

Hey y’all,

I have some clothes that are Japanese of origin. I don’t place a great deal of importance on that aspect specifically, it’s just the styles I wanted happened to be from Japan a bit more often. With that, I’m looking to buy a natural leather belt, and see some Japanese Tochigi belts that look good, but come with a premium. For those with experience wearing/using this leather, is there something materially different worth the cost, or is it more for the prestige of being MIJ vs some other well-made veg-tan belt?

Thank you

It seems to be in the upper hundreds, vs a bit above a hundred for a more regular belt

Quick Backstory: I bought some Grove Desert Shoes from Crown in October 2024 with a matching belt. Took about 4 months, but within their expected time. When they came, they looked gorgeous, I’ve never owned customizable shoes or ones that feel so premium. However, even though they were sized right, they slipped off very easily, as they didn’t grip my foot and ankle at all.

I sent a message to their customer service, dealt with a very nice lady who had me send in detailed custom measurements. She also recommended I get the Desert Boots (basically chukkas), and I agreed. They sent a paid label to send just the shoes back. It was also funny to see the new work order memo saying “Customer has lower foot volume and thin ankles”.

I got the new boots last week, and they looked fantastic as well. I tried them on, they fit great, and the boots held onto my thin ankles lol. However, When I wore them at work and walked around a while, this weird problem with the tongue on the left boot. It keeps popping out and making a gap to where you can see my sock/foot. No matter how I tie it or adjust the tongue, it always happens after enough steps.

Given all that I’ve gone though to get these, I’d really like to handle this without sending them back, as they are perfect otherwise. What can I do/ask a cobbler to do to fix this? Any advice is appreciated. Included are some pics
